M:No,but I'm a bit worried about it.I don't think I'll do very well.I only left myself a couple of days to do it.I didn't want to miss the deadline and I rushed it a bit.
W:Even so,you're bound to win one of the prizes.You've got such a great imagination.
M:Thanks.I enjoyed writing it even though it wasn't my favorite topic.But I don't think it was the best I've done.But yours was great.It appealed to me.I couldn't put it down!

W:Really I have been playing golf for five years now.Do you want me to teach you
M:Wow,Jenny!I didn't know you play golf!It would be great if you could teach me!How about giving me some lessons over our vacation
W:Sure!Actually,this is a little bit embarrassing,but I need your help,too.Can you teach me how to swim I need to learn because I'm supposed to work at camp next summer.I don't want the kids at camp to know that I can't swim.
M:That works out perfectly,then.Let's take advantage of the vacation.We can start tomorrow. You teach me how to play golf on Wednesdays and Fridays.I teach you how to swim on Thursdays and Saturdays.
W:OK.It's a deal!

W:What's bothering you then
M:Well,after studying in a small high school and knowing everybody,it's pretty tiring to be in a huge lecture hall with hundreds of students.And not one professor even knows my name.
W:I know what you mean.I was so pretty lost myself last year but one of my friends suggested me join the mentor group.It's like a support group.It's basically professors and a small group of students getting together informally to discuss all kinds of subjects.
M:Mmm,sounds meaningful.But is it too late to join
W:I don't think so.If I were you,I would go over to the dean's office and sign up.
M:I was going to the library to return a book but I can do it later,I guess.

W:Sure.I was born in 2004.And I started playing tennis at age 7.
M:I see.Who is your coach
W:Following in many famous,young athletes'footsteps,my coach is none other than my father.He has always challenged me from the beginning,telling me that I'll be able to change the world with my racket.I have to say that I wouldn't have succeeded without him.
M:He is really great.I hear Venus and Serena Williams are your idols,right
W:Yeah.Both of them have been role models for young tennis players,but the famous sisters have also become my fans.
M:Sounds interesting.So what are you going to do next
W:I will take the achievements as a starting point for further progress.I want to be a role model for as many young athletes as possible.

W:Hi,I am Melinda from Art Center.I'm here to tell you about the city's arts festival.This year we want to encourage more people to take part in some of our events and workshops. There is such a wide offering this year that I’m sure we will have something to suit all tastes. For example,we are inviting people in the creative industries to join us in one of our creative walks.Walking has been proved to help creative thinking.Also,we are working with schools in the area to invite grandparents in to teach the kids how to do sewing.We also aim to inspire and support people without jobs through free courses,starting with creative writing workshops.
