Activity2: Watch a video about Chinese famous food.
Purpose:To activate students' prior knowledge and interest in the topic.

Step 2 Pre-Listening
1.Vocabulary Review: Use a Chinese restaurant 's menu to review key food nouns.
2.Prediction: Ask students to predict the people in the pictures and what Tom and his family might order based on the menu.
Purpose: To activate prior knowledge, build vocabulary, and prepare for the listening task during listening.
Sep 3 While-Listening
1 Watch and listen to the conversation video, answer what food Tom’s family order
2. listen to the tape again and circle the colored words they hear.
Purpose: To improve listening skills, vocabulary recognition, and comprehension.
Step 4 Post-reading
1.Read the conversation and complete the table with the ordered items.
2. Discussion: "Do you think they eat healthily ". Encourage students to give reasons for their opinions.
3.Listen to the conversation again and role-play it.
Purpose:to enhance reading, discussion, speaking and cooperation skills.
Activity 1 .Analyze the conversation and summarize polite requests and responses when ordering.For example, the waiters often say what would you like to order and so on.
Activity 2.Students take notes and discuss what food and drink they would like to order.
Activity 3.Role-play a conversation between a customer and a waiter or waitress at a restaurant. After that , let students evaluate each other's performance using the checklist.
Purpose: To foster speaking skills, confidence, and cultural understanding.

upload your video to the class computer folder and assess one of your classmates’ videos.
