第二部分 阅读理解(共计 40分)
V. Reading comprehension(本题共 40分,A、D题每小题 1分,B、C、E题每小题 2分)
(A)
A good memory is often seen as something that comes naturally while a bad memory as something
that cannot be changed. In fact, there is a lot that you can do to improve your memory. Here are some
suggestions.
( )56. We all remember the things we are interested in and always forget the ones that bore us. This
explains the reason why schoolboys remember football results easily but struggle(挣扎)
with dates from their history lessons! So develop an active interest in what you want to
remember.
( )57. Some things are difficult to remember, but if we try to remember them in groups several times, it
may become easier to remember them. For example, the following numbers would be
impossible for most of us to remember:1492178919318483. But look at them in “groups”
repeatedly, and it becomes much easier: 1492 1789 1931 8483.
( )58. To remember long lists, try creating a story which includes all the things you want to remember.
In experiments (实验),people were asked to remember up to 120words using this way.
When they were tested later, they could remember about 90% of them.
( )59. Physical exercise is important for your memory, because it increases your heart rate (心率)and
sends more oxygen(氧气)to your brain, and that makes your memory work better.
( )60. Just like your body needs exercise, your brain needs exercise too. Doing things that make you think
actively, like puzzles, reading, or learning something new, can help with your memory. The
more you challenge your brain, the better it will be at remembering things later.
Choose the best topic fromA to F according to themeaning of the passage.
A. Keep your brain active. B.
Try to make a mind map.
C. Develop an active interest. D.
Remember things in groups.
E. Do sports as much as possible.
F. Make up a story including everything to remember.

not only for showing off people's skills, but also for culture sharing. At the
closing ceremony of the competition,29pieces of beautiful paper clothes
created by Shanghai designers amazed theworld.
China has won 36 gold medals (奖牌) in the competition and will host the 48th competition in 2026.

included over 50 students and teachers. They worked hard for over three months to create these fantastic
clothes. Finally, their hard work paid off, and everyone loved the show.
