We act out stories, talk about books, and make new friends.(1)act out 意为“表演出来”。例句:Let us act out the story. 让我们把这个故事表演出来。(2)act 用法:① act还可用作不及物动词, 意为“充当;起作用”。act as意为“担任,充当, 起……的作用”。A trained dog can act as a guide to a blind person.经过训练的狗可以担任盲人的向导。②actor 是 act的名词形式,意为“(男)演员”。Chaplin is one of my favorite actors.卓别林是我最喜欢的男演员之一。3. Books can open your mind and make you think.(1)mind 此处用作名词,意为“头脑;心智”。常用于短语: change one's mind“改变某人的主意”;make up one's mind“下决心;决定”;in one's mind“在某人看来;在某人心里”。He has a very sharp mind. 他有非常敏锐的思维。In his mind, helping others is just helping himself.在他看来,帮助别人就是帮助他自己。(2)mind用作名词,还表示“聪明人;富有才智的人”。She was one of the greatest minds of her generation.她是她那一代人中最聪慧的人之一。Language PointsLanguage Points3. Books can open your mind and make you think.(3)mind 还可用做动词。意为“介意;对(某事)烦恼”,通常用于疑问句、否定句或条件句中,其后可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。mind doing sth.意为“介意做某事”。Do you mind their service 你介意他们的服务吗 We don't mind giving them a hand.我们不介意帮助他们。扩展:“Would you mind ( my ) doing sth. ”句型进行回答时,表示“不介意”常用“Not at all./Certainly not./Of course not.”等; 表示“介意”习惯用“I'm sorry, but...”。(4)make 作使役动词,意为“使”make + sb. + do sth.意为“使得某人做某事”。(不能带不定式符号to) 。例句:Nothing will make me change my mind.什么也改变不了我的想法。Language Points3.
