Terry Fox was a young man from Canada. He showed the world the power of hope. Born in l958, Terry loved sports. However, he received bad news in 1976--he had bone cancer, and his right leg had to be cut off(切除).
Should he keep going, or give up Terry decided to fight back. In 198o, he began the Marathon of Hope - a cross-Canada run to collect money for cancer research. Nobody thought he would make it.
