The Mullers gave their phone number to the street people 35 thinking and told them to phone anytime. Rita made sure there was 36 at home to answer the phone and their home was always open to anyone who couldn’t face another night on the street.
The couple were soon 37 all their time and money, so Kurt visited food and clothing companies to ask for donations. Today, over thirty companies donate food and other goods and volunteers 38 to give them away to the homeless. The public also give clothes and money and a backpack producer donates new backpacks.
Kurt and Rita put their love to good use by helping homeless people in Berlin, they didn’t receive any payment for their hard work. “We feel like parents,” says Rita, “and parents shouldn’t expect money for helping their children. For Chinese, it's a time for dragon boat racing and Zongzi. But across the Yellow Sea, South Korea, wrestling and swing play are the highlights. However, both events go by the same name — the Dragon Boat Festival — which falls on May 5 of the lunar calendar.
One festival, two cultures: does one nation have the right to call its own It has been reported that South Korea will apply(申请) to the UNESCO to make the celebration its cultural heritage(遗产). If successful, people from other countries may see the Dragon Festival as a Korean creation.
As the birthplace of the yearly event more than 2, 000 years ago, China is not happy with the situation. “It would be a shame if another country successfully made a traditional Chinese festival part of its own cultural heritage ahead of China,” said Zhou Heping, deputy culture minister. The Ministry of Culture is even thinking of making its own application to UNESCO, covering all traditional Chinese festivals, including the Dragon Boat event.
Over the years, the Dragon Boat Festival has spread throughout the world. In Japan and Viet Nam, as well as South Korea, the festival has mixed with and become part of local culture.
With this in mind, some experts say that it is meaningless to argue about which country the festival belongs to. “No one can deny that it came from China,” said Long Haiqing, an expert from Hunan Province. “But if all the countries involved(参与) can protect culture heritage together, they will all benefit(受益).”
51.What can be inferred from the passage
A.South Korea has proclaimed(声明) the Dragon Boat Festival as a part of its cultural heritage.
B.South Korea has the exactly same Dragon Boat Festival as China.
C.South Korea has no idea that China has such a festival.
D.South Korea is paying more attention to its cultural heritage than China.
52.Why is China not happy with the situation
A.Because it created the festival.
B.Because it is also making an application.
C.Because South Korea has no right to call the festival its own.
D.Because UNESCO may approve(批准) South Korea's application.
53.What would the author probably support
A.A move by South Korea to cancel its application.
B.China getting UNESCO's approval of the festival first.
C.The opinion of Zhou Heping.
D.China paying more attention to its cultural heritage.

Three Meaningful Days
I spent a special holiday with my classmates this summer. On the first day, we went to a Hope Primary School. We taught the children there to sing and dance. On the second day, we went to a hospital to visit the children who all had heart disease. We took gifts to them and hoped they would be better soon. On the third day, we went to the old people’s home. We helped do some cleaning and chatted with them.
We all felt good about ourselves by helping others. I think if everyone can help others, the world will be a wonderful place.
