五、书面表达(20 分) Dear Nathan,
I know you want to do live-streaming. Here is my advice for you.
Live-streaming has both advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, it can be a great way to
express yourself. You might gain new friends and even earn some pocket money if your content
is popular. It also offers a platform to share your hobbies, like singing, drawing, or teaching
others something you’re good at. On the other hand, it requires a lot of time and energy. You may need to stay up late to prepare content, which could affect your studies. Moreover, dealing
with online comments—both positive and negative—might cause stress, especially if you receive unkind feedback.
In my opinion, you can try live-streaming but set clear boundaries. For example, limit it to
weekends and keep each session short. Focus on creating meaningful content, such as sharing
study tips or showcasing your talents. This way, you can enjoy the experience without letting it
harm your daily life. Remember, balance is the key!
Good luck!

“How about donating your gifts to a children’s hospital ” Justin’s mother asked.
Justin was about to turn seven years old when his mother advised him to celebrate the birthday in a new way.
Then Justin thought about the idea. He already had everything he needed. Children in hospital were experiencing
some difficulties. They probably needed gifts more than he did.

A new study showed how to deal with wrong information. 152 students joined in the study. They all read one
article with wrong information. They also read another article which gave correct information.
The students were tested on what they knew about fluoride (氟化物) in water. Then they read two articles.
One article said fluoride is harmful. The other said fluoride is safe and good for teeth. All the students read the
same wrong information, but different groups of students either read an article with the correct information in facts
or read one that first refuted(否定)the wrong information and then in facts. The study also tested the effects of
letting the students read the correct article before or after the wrong information.
The result showed that all the students learned under four conditions, but the worst-performing group was the
one that read the wrong information first and then in facts. Those students who had read the refutation article
either
before or after the wrong information had fewer mistakes. They also had more positive feelings toward the subject.
With large amounts of information online, it can be hard for people to tell right from wrong. This can cause

Recently, a junior middle school in Shenyang has held an activity named “Stay away from electronic
products”. The school would like their students not to use their electronic products for three weeks. It is really a
huge challenge for most students.
The challenge started on April 25. Every student who volunteered to take part in this challenge got a bracelet
(手环). If the students did not use their electronic products, there would be a picture on the screen of the bracelet
to show that. If they used their electronic products, a different picture would appear on the screen of the bracelet. At
the end of every day, the bracelet could send the picture to the school’s public email.
More than 400 students expressed their wish to take part in this test, and at last, 200 were chosen. After two
weeks, less than half of the students remained. The test was set for twenty-one days because some scientists believe
that the period of time is long enough to help develop a habit. Believe it or not, only one quarter of the students
made it to the end.
According to the school leader Mrs Han, the activity was not a competition. It depended on students
themselves to make the decision. The school hoped their students could develop better study habits through
activities like this one.
41.When did the activity “Stay away from electronic products” start
42.What was the bracelet used for in this challenge
43.How many students succeeded in the challenge
44.What do you think of the activity Why Write 30 words or more.
