Food is important for all of us. However, a large amount of food is wasted every day around the world. It’s time for us to take action to solve this problem.
First, plan your meals. Before going shopping, make a list of the food you need. This helps you buy only what you really need and avoid(避免) buying too much. For example, if you know you won’t have time to cook a big meal on Tuesday, don’t buy ingredients for it. When you cook, measure the food properly. Don’t cook more than you can eat. If you’re not sure how much to cook, start with a small amount and add more if necessary.
Second, store food correctly. Many people throw away food just because it goes bad too quickly. By storing food in the right way, you can make it last longer. Fruits and vegetables should be kept in the fridge, but some, like bananas and tomatoes, are better left at room temperature. Bread can be frozen if you don’t plan to eat it soon.
Another way is to reuse food leftovers. Don’t throw away the food you didn’t finish. You can make a new dish with leftovers. For example, leftover rice can be used to make fried rice, and leftover vegetables can be added to a soup.
Finally, spread the word about food waste. Talk to your family, friends, and classmates about the importance of reducing food waste. Encourage them to join you in this effort. You can also share tips on social media. The more people know about it, the more they can do to help.
Reducing food waste is not only good for saving money, but also for protecting the environment. When we waste food, the resources used to produce, transport, and store that food are also wasted. Let’s work together to make a difference and reduce food waste.

"When I finish writing a passage, I put it into an AI app. It tells me where the grammar mistakes are and how to correct them," he says. But he never copies the AI’s answers directly. "AI is like a teacher—it can help me understand problems, but thinking by myself is more important."
Learn from AI-Given Explanations In math study, Zhang Tao meets difficult problems. Instead of asking others at once, he first lets AI explain the steps of solving the problem. "AI shows me how to start and why this method works. Then I try to do it again by myself," he says. "This way, I don’t just get the answer, but learn the thinking behind it."

China is working hard to make the environment greener. In the past few years, many good things have happened.

Also, more trees are planted along the rivers. These trees can stop the soil from washing away. Some cities even ask people to use public bikes(共享单车). This helps cut down air pollution.
▲ Many students learn about recycling at school. They know how to separate paper, plastic, and glass. Some families start to use less water at home. They turn off the tap when brushing teeth. Others plant small gardens in their homes. These plants make the air fresh.
Technology is another big helper. Some cities use smart lights on the streets. These lights only turn on when people or cars are near. This saves a lot of electricity.
