The next day, my mom brought me a few T-shirts and two pairs of jeans that had been given to her by a friend. One pair of jeans was too short and the other pair was too long, but I didn’t care. At least I had some clothes again. Meanwhile, my dad returned to our house to see what he could get. The only thing he could find was my mom’s wedding ring, but it was better than nothing.
My dad was able to rent an old house by the side of the road near our old house later on. As we moved in, friends and other people in our community gave us all they could to help us. There were more clothes, food, money and even some books for me to read.
Looking back now, I am thankful for everything we went through that summer because it taught me so much about life, love and people. It showed me that if you had nothing left but love, that could still be enough.

Penguins in Australia
The Little Penguins are the smallest penguins in the world. They are only about 30 centimetres tall. You can find them on the southeastern coast (海岸) of Australia, especially on Phillip Island. The Yellow-eyed Penguins look cute and they live on the southeastern coast of Australia and in New Zealand. But now there are only 5,000 of them left in the wild. This is bad news.
Chart Ⅰ
Australia is home to some penguins. However, they are facing many dangers, such as over-fishing and oil spill (石油泄漏). We should try our best to save them.
Making sweaters (毛衣) for penguins is an activity. The Penguin Foundation (基金会) and Phillip Island Nature Parks in Australia start it to save the penguins. The foundation asks people to help make sweaters for the penguins. These sweaters keep them warm and stop them from taking in the oil.
In 2001, there was an oil spill and penguins were in great danger. But this time, people use sweaters to help the penguins. Because of this idea, the sweaters help to save 96 percent of the penguins.
Making sweaters for penguins is useful. But some people worry that the sweaters are bad for the penguins. They think the sweaters may make them too hot. However, the Penguin Foundation tells them that the sweaters are only used for a short time. They will be taken off when the penguins grow back as usual.Know more
As oil spills get fewer, the Penguin Foundation starts to use the rest sweaters to make penguin toys. By selling them in the shop, people can get money to help save penguins and other animals.Chart Ⅱ

The Yellow-eyed Penguins look cute and they live on the southeastern coast of Australia and in New Zealand. But now there are only 5,000 of them left in the wild. This is bad news.

They will be taken off when the penguins grow back as usual.
