You can travel alone, with friends, or with a tour group. They all have strong points and weak points.
The best thing about traveling alone is that you can do what you want to do. No waiting around in
places you are’t interested in, no missing a bus because your friend was late, etc. Your experience will be
greatly improved by traveling alone. The main worry is loneliness, but it’s not difficult to talk to and meet
people. Just remember everyone wants to meet new people, have fun and be friendly! However, there’s a
safety problem in some countries, especially for women traveling alone. You should always check the
Foreign Office of your country for advice on safety. Buying a personal alarm (警报装置) is a good idea for
women traveling alone.
Traveling with a friend does sound nice, but it depends on how well you get on. If you have similar
interests or travel ideas, it should be wonderful. You will find it much cheaper to cook food in developed

Tours are great when they go well. Some of my best memories (记忆) have been with tour groups. The
key there is when they go well. A terrible tour guide, quiet group and terrible food can ruin (毁掉) your time.
My advice would be never to do a tour that is too long except in countries with safety problems or poor
transport.
All in all, traveling alone is the best, but it is good to mix it up. Invite a friend from home to meet you
for a few weeks. Try a tour group or two-some people love them-perhaps start with a day tour.

Nowadays, artificial intelligence (AI) tools like DeepSeek are becoming very popular. They bring big
changes to our life, especially in learning and working.
DeepSeek has great technology. For example, its language models can answer lots of different
questions well. In learning, students can use it to get more knowledge. When they have difficult problems in
subjects like History, Maths or Science, they can ask DeepSeek for help. At work, it makes employees better
at analyzing data. Marketers can use it to guess what will happen in the market, and writers can find ideas
from it to write better things.
But, while DeepSeek gives us so much convenience, there are also problems. Some students depend too
much on it and just copy the answers it gives. This is really wrong. In fact, with the growth of AI, we need to
focus more on making our creativity better. In the future, jobs that need people to do the same thing over and
over again will be taken by AI. Only those who are really creative can do well. For example, in art design,
designers should use their own ideas to make great works instead of just using what AI makes. In science,
researchers need to think of new ideas to find out things we don’t know.
So, we should see AI as a useful tool, not something that does our thinking for us. We must work on
growing our creativity by keeping learning and practicing to get ready for the future.
( )23.How does DeepSeek help employees at work
A.It helps them copy the answers. B.It helps them solve the problems.
C.It helps them guess what to happen next. D.It helps them analyze data better.
( )24.What’s the wrong way some students use DeepSeek
A.Ask for help. B.Learn to write.
C.Copy the answers. D.Answer difficult answers.
( )25.Which sentence is NOT right according to the passage
A.AI is a useful tool, not something that does our thinking for us.
B.Designers should use their own ideas instead of just using what AI makes.
C.AI can do some things that need people to do over and over again.
D.In the future, all the jobs will be taken by AI.
( )26.What’s the structure of this passage
A. B. C. D.
D
When people communicate, they use body language more than words. People’s body language shows
important information just like speech does. When someone lies with their words, their body language often
tells the truth. The next time you wonder if someone is telling you the truth, try watching their hands.
A person who is being honest will usually turn one or both of their palms (手掌) towards the other
person. If a person is beginning to “open up” or share important information, you may notice them turn their
palms towards you. Like most body language, this unconscious (无意识的) gesture usually gives the other
person the feeling that the speaker is speaking honestly.
When people lie, they tend to hide their palms by putting their hands behind their back or holding them.
Others will keep their hands in their pockets if they are lying or trying to hide information. Salespeople are
sometimes trained to watch out for this specific example of body language when a person is saying that they
can’t afford a product or service. Sometimes professional liars try to use open-palm gestures to fool others.
But a careful listener may tell it is a lie through their body language such as lack of eye contact and touching
the nose.
Research has also suggested that if people normally turn their palms to face their listeners, they tend to
be more honest themselves. If you want people’s honesty, talk to them and ask them questions while keeping
your palms turned out. This will put pressure on the people you are talking to.
Human body language, emotion, and communication are directly connected. By showing that you are
honest, with your palms towards people, your body language pushes others to tell you the truth.
( )27.What does the underlined phrase “open up” in Paragraph 2 probably mean
A.敞开心扉 B.开辟 C.产生 D.取得
( )28.What do people usually unconsciously do when they lie
A.They tend to hide their feet. B.They tend to shake your hands.

A.touching the nose B.using open-palm gestures
C.making eye contact with you D.sharing important information
( )30.Talking with your palms open will encourage others to ________.
A.behave actively B.gesture carefully
C.be honest with you D.forget their pressure
第二节 任务型阅读(共 5 小题,每小题 2 分,满分 10 分)
Who is the most important person to you When people are asked this question, most of their answers
are my mother, my son, my daughter, and so on. But don’t forget that there are some other people who care
about you! They are your friends!
Every one of us, young or old, should have our own good friends. Our friends will listen to us when we
speak, care for us when we are not feeling well, and stay with us when we are in difficulty. Being with
friends can make us happy.
As everyone needs friends, who can we make good friends with and how can we get on well with each
other Here are some ways.
Make friends with those who work hard. Being with them, you will learn a lot from them.
Don’t make friends with those who are quite different from you because it will be hard to get on with
each other.
Reach for their hands when your friends have problems. Friends should always help each other.
Believe in each other. But never believe in those who leave you when you are in difficulty. And never
leave your friends when they are in difficulty. Remember, a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Even the best friends may have a fight with each other sometimes. If this happens, don’t let the fight
last too long. Try to make up with your friends.
