Hello, everyone. I am Li Hua. It’s my pleasure to be here to introduce my favourite scientist — Yuan Longping.
Yuan Longping was one of our country’s most famous scientists. He was known as the “Father of Hybrid Rice”. In the 1960s, Yuan worked as a teacher. Life was hard at that time, and he had great difficulty developing the hybrid rice. However, Yuan never gave up his study. He tried his best to produce more rice so that Chinese people could stay away from hunger. In the end, he succeeded in developing the hybrid rice.
Although Yuan made great achievements, he was never satisfied with them and went on studying science. I have learned from him that I should work hard all the time and never give up.
