around the world. For instance, in Brazil, the carnival
is one of the features of their New Year celebrations.
People sing and dance happily on the streets, wearing their fancy clothes. It is like a huge street party with lots of music and dancing.

people across the globe. It lasts for over a month and covers the largest number of participants. Various folk performances, such as lion and dragon dances, stilt walking and temple fair visits, create a festive atmosphere.
