Here is a story about a young adventurer(探险者) named Lily who was on a quest(寻求)
to find a magical crystal(魔晶) that could save her dying(消亡的) village:
Lily's hands trembled(颤抖) as she finally grasped(抓住) the glowing(发光的) crystal hidden (隐藏)deep within the ancient(古代的) cave(洞穴). The air around her crackled(炸裂的) with energy(能量) as she clutched(抓紧) it to her chest. With a newfound(新发现的) sense of determination(决心), she began the long journey back home.
When she reached the village, the elders gathered(聚集) around in cave. Lily placed the crystal at the center of the village square, and a soft, warm light emanated(散发) from it. Slowly but surely, the withered(枯萎) crops began to sprout(发芽) new leaves, the dried-up(干涸的) wells filled with clear water, and the sick villagers regained(重获) their strength(力量).
As the sun set on that fateful(重大的) day, Lily stood on a hill overlooking(眺望) the now-thriving(现在繁荣的) village. A gentle breeze(微风) tousled(弄乱) her hair as she watched children playing and families sharing meals. The once-desolate(曾经荒凉的) place was now full of life and laughter.
Word of Lily's heroic deed(英雄行为) spread(传播) far and wide. She became a symbol(象征0 of hope and courage(勇气) for neighboring villages. But for Lily, the greatest reward(回报) was seeing her home restored(恢复). From that day forward, she dedicated(致力于) herself to teaching the younger generation(一代) their importance of preservance and selflessness(保护和无私), ensuring (确信)that the spirit of adventure and the will to protect their community would be passed down for generations to come.

My favourite stories are fairy tales like Snow White. It's about a kind-hearted girl who meets seven dwarfs(矮人) and faces a wicked(邪恶的) queen. The pictures in the book probably show Snow White with the dwarfs in the forest or the queen's bad tricks. It's a story full of love and courage.

I like The Emperor's New Clothes more.
Once upon a time, there was an emperor who loved new clothes more than anything. Two swindlers(骗子) came to the city and said they could make the most beautiful clothes that were invisible(无形的) to anyone who was unfit for their office or very stupid. The emperor gave them a lot of gold and silk. The swindlers pretended(假装) to work hard, but they didn't really make any clothes. When the "clothes" were "ready", the emperor put them on and walked in the street. All the people pretended to see the beautiful clothes because they didn't want to seem stupid, until a little boy shouted out that the emperor had nothing on.

I really like this story. It tells us that we should be honest and not be afraid to tell the truth, just like the little boy. We shouldn't care too much about what others think and be brave to point out the facts.
Yes, I like it. The story is very interesting. The emperors and officials' behavior of not admitting(承认) they can't see the clothes is so funny, and the boy's cry breaks(打破) the "silence" in an unexpected(想不到的) way.
I like the story. It makes me realize that sometimes people will follow the crowd(人群) and not dare to be true to themselves. But we should learn from the boy to have the courage to be honest, which is a valuable quality(宝贵素质).

The Emperor's New Clothes Retold
Once upon a time, an emperor loved clothes dearly(深深地) and always wanted new ones.
One day, two tricky(狡猾的) brothers said they'd make amazing clothes only clever people could see. The emperor let them pretend to make the garments(外套).
His officials couldn't see the clothes but lied to avoid(避免) seeming foolish. The emperor, also seeing nothing, still praised the "beautiful" clothes to not look like a fool.
He paraded(游行) in the street to show them off. People there, scared of appearing(显得) silly, praised the imaginary(想象的) clothes too.
Suddenly, a brave boy shouted,"The emperor has no clothes!" Everyone then laughed, realizing the nonsense(胡说).

The sentences use the simple present tense and the simple past tense. We use the simple prsent tense to talk about general truths. We use the simple past tense to talk about completed actions that happened before now.

My favourite story-The Tortoise and the Hare
My favourite story is The Tortoise and the Hare.
Once upon a time, there was a fast-running hare who was always boasting(自夸) about his speed. One day, he met a tortoise and made fun of the tortoise's slow pace(速度). The tortoise, not to be outdone(胜过), challenged the hare to a race. The hare laughed at the idea but agreed.
At the start of the race, the hare darted off(离开) quickly, leaving the tortoise far behind. Confident of(对...有信心) his victory, the hare decided to take a nap(小睡) under a tree. Meanwhile, the tortoise, though moving slowly, kept plodding(沉重缓慢地走) along steadily. When the hare woke up, he realized the tortoise was close to the finish line. He sprinted(冲刺) as fast as he could, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first.
The end!
I like this story because it teaches me that slow and steady(稳步) wins the race. It reminds me that over-confidence and laziness can lead to failure, while perseverance (毅力)and determination can bring success, no matter how small the steps may be.
