H:who/where/when/what/why/how
W:WHO/WHAT)
2.思考五R——read for characters人物/ read for plot情节/ read for conflict冲突/ read for emotional change情感变化/ read for theme主题

1.action-response原则,角色A的行动会引起B的反应;
2.conflict-solution原则,最终解决问题及矛盾;

句型:adj.1 +adj.2 , sb. did ,doing……
1.Delighted and confident, Director Xie showed his great talent for dancing, hoping to attract more people to visit his hometown.
2.Nervous and scared, Peter managed to step onto the stage, starting to deliver his speech.
3.Confident and determined , David kept on running, struggling to reach the finish line.
4.Depressed and helpless, Eric burst into tears, wondering what to do next.

Paragraph 1:
It seemed as if Robert would be dying. ①Just at that moment, Henry happened to be passing by. ②Hearing the screams, Henry ran to the riverside, threw off his clothes and jumped into the water without hesitation. ③He reached Robert just as he was sinking the last time. ④By great effort, and with much danger to himself, he brought Robert to the shore.
Paragraph 2:
Thus, Robert‘s life was saved. ①Robert and his new friends were ashamed of having called Henry a coward. ②They realized that Henry had true courage. ③They said sorry to Henry for their rude behaviour and asked for his forgiveness.④ Henry forgave them happily. ⑤He and Robert were friends again and they went home together as usual. ⑥From this, Robert learned what true courage was—never be afraid to do good, but always fear to do evil.

It was the day of the big cross-country run. Students from seven different primary schools in and around the small town were warming up and walking the route(路线) through thick evergreen forest.
I looked around and finally spotted David, who was standing by himself off to the side by a fence, He was small for ten years old. His usual big toothy smile was absent today. I walked over and asked him why he wasn't with the other children. He hesitated and then said he had decided not to run .
What was wrong He had worked so hard for this event !
I quickly searched the crowd for the school‘s coach and asked him what had happened, “I was afraid that kids from other schools would laugh at him." he explained uncomfortably. “I gave him the choice to run or not ,and let him decide.” I bit back my frustration(懊恼). I knew the coach meant well——he thought he was doing the right thing. After making sure that David could run if he wanted, I turned to find him coming towards me, his small body rocking from side to side as he swung his feet forward .
David had a brain disease which prevented him from walking or running like other children, but at school his classmates thought of him as a regular kid. He always participated to the best of his ability in whatever they were doing. That was why none of the children thought it unusual that David had decided to join the cross-country team. It just took him longer——that’s all. David had not missed a single practice, and although he always finished his run long after the other children, he did always finish, As a special education teacher at the school, I was familiar with the challenges David faced and was proud of his strong determination.
