一、学情分析
初一年级是小学与初中的衔接年级，该年级学生在小学阶段有了一定的英语语言的学习基础，而且活泼好动。相对来说，对语言的感知力较强。但七年级是刚进入初中的第一年，学生们语言水平基础不一，在学习方法需要老师进行必要的指导。学生对本模块的中心语言比较熟悉和感兴趣，因此，我在教学过程中，既注重了语言知识层面的输入，更是加强了对其阅读方法和策略上指导，尽量让所有学生都能参与到课堂中来，尽可能地运用多种教学手段，充分调动孩子们的学习积极性。
二、教材分析
本模块以肢体语言为话题，较为详细地从几个方面入手介绍了几个国家的肢体语言，内容充实，且功能性强，通过对本模块话题的学习，能够让学生在语言学习和语言训练的同时，更多的是对世界各国的文化有了更深层次的了解，让学生看到和感受到世界各地文化的多样化。
三、教学目标设计
语言知识
1.重点词汇：arm ,touch, foreign, personal, polite, wave及重要句型：It’s polite to stand close to the people in the Middle East .
2.初步了解祈使句的使用。
3.学生能够运用肢体语言，辨别不同的国家并能介绍不同国家的体语。
语言技能
1.能读懂有关体语方面文章。
2.能掌握一定的阅读技巧和方法，能运用一定的阅读策 略如skimming,scanning,careful reading 等解决文章中的问题。
情感态度与价值
通过学习不同国家的肢体语言，培养学生正确运用体语欢迎他人的方式，学会如何尊重他人的交流方式和不同国家的习俗，进而提升自己的文化意识。

通过播放与话题相关的音乐，激发学生的学习兴趣；通过free talk 轻松引导，为后面话题学习奠定基础。
