Read the first paragraph and answer the question.
What problem did Kayla have in the past
She was worried about her weight and appearance.
I always wanted to look like the slim girls on TV even though I knew that it was impossible. I worried about my weight and tried every new diet I read about online. I tried no-fat, low-fat, 5:2, only bananas, no bananas— I almost went bananas, too.

Read the second paragraph and answer the question.
Then I read an article that said instead of asking “Am I fat ” I should be asking“ Am I fit ” I had no idea a letter could make such a difference! Once I started thinking about fitness rather than weight, things began to change. Instead of saying “I want to lose three kilos”, I would say “I want to run two kilometres in eight minutes” or “I want to be able to do 30 push-ups”. Rather than cutting out the foods I enjoyed, I added healthy foods to my meals. I could still have a burger now and then, but I would add a salad or an apple.

By being positive about herself and her body, she became both happier and healthier.

Finally, I stopped comparing myself with actresses and models and looking for things that were wrong with my face or body. Instead, I made a list of the things I liked about myself. By being positive about myself and my body, I became both happier and healthier.

If I am by myself, I can listen to my favorite music on headphones while I exercise. I can also exercise with a friend to make it more enjoyable.
I won’t work for too long at a time. If I work for around 45 minutes then take a short 10-minute break, my work will be better and I will feel more relaxed.

What can you do to become more confident and feel better about yourself
How can you make your meals healthier
To be more confident, I should know what I am good at, and accept what I am not good at. I can’t be good at everything! If I want to improve at something, I won’t let small failures put me off. I will keep trying and will reach my goal, becoming more confident at every step. Keeping fit also helps!
Always try and have vegetables with my meals and balance the different types of food groups. Don’t eat too much of one thing. Also, don’t eat very big portions.

I am a high school student. I want to feel better about myself and be healthier because sometimes I get down, have no energy and worry about things too much. I decided to change my diet to make it healthier. For example, I stopped eating fast food so often, and introduced fruit and vegetables into my diet every day. I also do my exercises regularly to keep fit. Now, because I became healthier, I became much happier and better about myself too. This has made me more confident to make new friends and try new things.
