2. What were they
3. How did he solve his problems
It’s challenging for him to know how to choose
courses and extra-curricular activities and how to study.
He solved his problems by getting help from advisers and with his positive
attitude.
Recently, there is a teenager worrying about a problem. Luckily, he is a person who is not shy to ask for help and knows who he can turn to. Thus he wrote a letter to Susan Luo, an adviser for teenagers.

Memorize these sentence structures when offering advice.
What are their problems
My parents won't listen.
I always feel lonely.
There is a girl I like in my class.
I recommend that you talk to your friend about his behaviour. It is not unusual for teenagers of your generation to be attracted to computer games and the online world. But spending too much time online is unhealthy and makes it very difficult to focus on other things in life. Some students even become addicted to the Internet and cannot concentrate on school and family life. I think you should encourage your friend to try new hobbies. Why not discuss the problem together I am sure he will listen to you, since you are his good friend.
What do you think of Susan's advice
I think you should talk to your friend and encourage him.

Dear Xu Ting,
You wrote that you feel lonely after school.
I understand how you feel.
I think maybe you should join the after-school class, because there are a lot of students like you. You can discuss anything with them or play some games. I'm sure that you will feel more pleased instead of feeling lonely.
Best wishes!

Dear Xu Ting,
You are worried that you feel lonely because you don't stay with your parents who are working in another city. I understand exactly how you feel because I had the same experience.
To be honest, I recommend that you should join in after-school activities because there are a lot of students like you. Of course, you can focus on discussing anything with them or even playing some games. If you still feel lonely, personally you ought to arrange some study tasks for yourself and concentrate on it. I'm sure you will be attracted to your study here. You should be responsible for yourself.
Best wishes!
