Family rules are useful. They help your children to grow healthily. So it’s important for you to make some
family rules. But how can you make family rules Let me help you.
Have a family meeting. Having a family meeting is important. You can tell your children why you want to

Keep the family rules simple (简单的). Children don’t know what “Be good” means. But they do know
what “Use friendly words” means. Children can’t remember many family rules. You need to keep the family rules
to 5—7 rules.
Write down the family rules. You must write down all the family rules. When family members see them,

But it’s also important to eat different kinds of fruits and vegetables. Scientists find that choosing foods of
different colors helps us stay healthy. This eating habit is called the “rainbow diet”.
Why are colors important That’s because they are from special chemicals (化学物质) in food. These
chemicals not only give fruits and vegetables their colors, but they also have different effects. For example,
chemicals in carrots give them an orange colour and improve joints (关 节 ) health, while chemicals in red
tomatoes help keep our hearts strong.
The most important colour groups are yellow, white, red, orange, purple-blue, and green. Each of them is
useful, so we should eat at least one or two fruits or vegetables from each colour group every day.
▲ . For breakfast, you could have porridge or milk with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries. That’s red,
yellow, and purple-blue. For lunch, you could have a salad with lettuce, carrots, purple cabbage, corn, and red
peppers. That’s green, orange, purple-blue, yellow, and red. Then for dinner, you could have cauliflower (花菜). It’
s white. In this way, you can eat all the different colour groups in one day.

Animals are our friends. We know that dogs can help blind people (盲人) go to some places. Now horses

and get books and magazines for him. It also helps Patel choose clothes when he goes shopping.
Now, it is not a small horse. It is very big and about 0.8 metres tall. so Patel can’t take it to his company (公
司). When Patel takes it to the office, it knocks (碰) things off the desks. So Patel has to say goodbye to Digby.
Luckily, Digby has a new job. It helps blind people travel around some places in London.

make some rules. And you can ask what they think is a good family rule. Then they are happy to follow the rules.
For every “Don’t”, give a “Do”. It doesn’t work to tell children not to do something. You have to teach

Keep the family rules simple (简单的). Children don’t know what “Be good” means. But they do know

chemicals in carrots give them an orange colour and improve joints (关 节 ) health, while chemicals in red

yellow, and purple-blue. For lunch, you could have a salad with lettuce, carrots, purple cabbage, corn, and red
peppers. That’s green, orange, purple-blue, yellow, and red. Then for dinner, you could have cauliflower (花菜). It’
s white. In this way, you can eat all the different colour groups in one day.

become both beautiful and healthy. Remember: the more colors you eat, the healthier you’ll be!
