1.Why do we celebrate birthdays
【解析】1）特殊疑问句结构：疑问词why+助动词do+主语we+谓语动词celebrate+宾语birthdays？

3）序数词构成规则
一般在基数词后面+th four-fourth seven-seventh tenth

特殊变形：一二三特殊记， 8去t，9去e，ve就用f替 one-first two-second three-third eight-eighth nine-ninth twelve- twelfth
4）序数词用法
表示事物的顺序：the +序数词+名词/形容词 (有物主代词时不加the) The fifth lesson. Today is her ninth birthday.
序数词前+a/an表示又一或再一 Please give me a third chance.
表示分数时：分子用基数词，分母用序数词， 分子大于1时，分母+s 四分之一：one fourth 五分之二：two fifths

Today is my best friend Lily's birthday. We all got very excited to celebrate it. In the morning, we went to the store to buy a big cake. The cake was covered with delicious strawberries and white cream. It looked so yummy!
After school, we decorated the classroom with colorful balloons and streamers. Everyone helped to make it look special. Lily came in and was surprised to see the decorations. She smiled widely and said, "Thank you all!"
