My Favorite Gift
My favorite gift from childhood is a storybook called The Little Prince. I got it from my elder sister on my 12th birthday, and I’ve kept it for three years.
Before I got the book, I didn’t like reading very much. I thought books were boring. But when my sister gave me The Little Prince, she told me, “This book has beautiful stories and lovely pictures. I’m sure you’ll love it.” At first, I just looked at the pictures. Then I started to read the words. The story about a little prince traveling to different planets was so interesting that I couldn’t put it down. After finishing the book, I couldn’t wait to read more stories.
This book is special to me because it changed my life. It made me fall in love with reading. Now I’ve read many books, but The Little Prince is still my favorite. Every time I see it on my bookshelf, I remember my sister’s love and the happy time I spent reading it. It’s not just a book — it’s a gift that opened a new world to me.
参考范文2
My Favorite Gift
My favorite gift from childhood is a pencil box. I’ve had it for five years. My best friend Amy gave it to me when we graduated from primary school, and I still use it every day.
Before I got this pencil box, I used a very old one. It was broken and couldn’t hold many things. On the last day of primary school, Amy came to me with a big smile. She said, “This is for you. I hope it can help you with your study in middle school.” When I opened it, I saw a beautiful pencil box with cute cartoon animals on it. Inside, there were also some colorful pens and a note that said, “Let’s be friends forever.”
This pencil box is special to me because it stands for my friendship with Amy. Even though we go to different middle schools now, every time I open the box, I think of the happy days we spent together. It reminds me of our laughter, our talks, and our promises. It’s not just a pencil box — it’s a treasure that keeps my best memories.
