(2025·湖南长沙·中考真题)第一节
阅读下面短文,根据短文内容回答问题。
One recent weekend, I decided to learn how to make jiaozi with my grandmother. I thought it would be fun and easy at the very beginning, but soon it came to me that it wasn’t as simple as it looked.
At first, I didn’t pay attention to the sharp (锋利的) knife while cutting vegetables. My finger got cut because of my carelessness. Luckily, it wasn’t serious. Grandma was nervous, and quickly helped me clean the cut. “My poor little girl! Be careful next time!” said Grandma softly. Through the painful lesson, I learned the hard way that safety should always come first.
After that accident (意外), I continued working with Grandma. We made the dough (面团), mixed the filling, and started shaping the dumplings. However, I kept making mistakes. Some of my dumplings were too thick, others were not properly sealed (封闭), and some even had too much filling, making them difficult to close. It was so discouraging, but Grandma kept encouraging me.
Until noon, we had a plate full of dumplings—some are perfect, and some are a bit messy. Dad ate my ugliest dumpling first. “Tastes better than it looks!” he laughed. Mom encouraged me, “They’re the most delicious dumplings I have ever had. I am so proud of you!”
Now I understand that making jiaozi isn’t just about the final product; it is about learning patience, having fun with my family, and improving through mistakes. Mistakes aren’t signs of weakness. Instead, they should be viewed (看待) as stepping stones to achievements.
1.What did the writer think of making jiaozi at the very beginning
2.What happened to the writer’s finger because of her carelessness
3.Did the writer give up making jiaozi after the accident
4.How do Mom’s words sound

Tree Planting Day reminds us to care for the earth. Around the world, people take action in different ways. Here’s a story of a young German who turned tree-planting into a lifelong fight for the planet.
Planting a tree is easy; bringing back a forest is hard. Those are the words of Felix Finkbeiner, who at 26 in 2024, has now spent much of his life fighting climate change through tree planting and forest restoration (森林恢复).
The idea came to Finkbeiner when he was 9 years old. Inspired by Wangari Maathai, an environmentalist, the boy announced to his fourth grade class that they should plant a million trees in every country.
Gradually, his speech took root. Finkbeiner and his classmates planted their first tree at their school, and his idea began to spread to other schools. In addition, Finkbeiner set up Plant-for-the-Planet to encourage the public to join in planting trees.
Some scientists, however, note that planting trees is not going to solve the climate crisis (气候危机) alone. It takes several tens of years for trees to be able to grow enough in order to take in larger amounts of carbon (碳), supposing they survive dangerous situations like wildfires.
Now, they have restoration sites in Spain, Ghana and Ethiopia, but their biggest one is in Mexico. Since the project began in 2015, Plant-for-the-Planet has planted nearly 8 million trees there. “The more people that get involved,” Finkbeiner says, the faster the goal can be met and the greener the earth can get.
19.When did Finkbeiner get the idea of planting trees
20.Where did Finkbeiner and his classmates plant their first tree
21.Can planting trees alone solve the climate crisis

Have you ever wondered how air force pilots test the newest generation of China’s flying technology The movie Born to Fly, which came out in China on April 28, 2023, tells such a story. It follows a group of brave air force pilots who work with China’s newest flying technology.
First, the pilots need to go through a tough (艰难的) testing process. This process is to see if they have the skills and courage for the dangerous research. Only those who pass can move on to test the new planes. When testing, they push the planes to the limit, facing risks from the experimental technology.
Why do they do this hard work Because the results are very important. By the end of the movie, China’s advanced air force can outsmart and fly faster than opponents (对手) with the newly developed jets, showing the country’s growing strength.
The movie also shows the difference between generations of pilots. Both old and young pilots are brave, but the younger ones know more about aircraft technology. The main character is a good example. He uses his engineering and English skills to learn about planes from around the world. This part of the movie is very encouraging.

Are you troubled by housework, such as cleaning tables or tidying your room A new robot is here to help! Recently, the robot Mobile Aloha made by scientists at Stanford University in the US became popular online.
In the videos posted, we can see that the robot can prepare dishes on its own, from cutting vegetables to cracking (打破) eggs. Actually, it has many other abilities which are not shown in the videos. It’s good at watering plants, petting cats, cleaning the floor and washing clothes. It even knows to shake the pillow (枕头) after putting it into a pillowcase.
Sounds good Well, another video posted by researchers may disappoint some people. That’s because Mobile Aloha isn’t good at doing housework on its own. Instead, it learns from human actions before doing each kind of housework. When the situation changes, it can’t work well without a human “teaching” it. So it may break dishes, bump into (撞上) things and even burn a pot.
The robot can successfully move chairs 80 percent of the time, said the team after they did more research on it. For cooking dishes, it’s only 40 percent. In short, it’s far from perfect.
In fact, AI robots are good at tasks such as math and playing chess, but they face challenges when it comes to simpler actions like cleaning. And it’s the same for Mobile Aloha. For example, if its body doesn’t move correctly, its arm may move too far to pick up a glass. “Robots are not ready to take over the world,” the team posted on Tic Tok.
Can household robots really free human hands Is home robot a good idea

Confucianism (儒家思想) has been followed by Chinese people for more than two thousand years. To help people understand how to behave towards others, Confucianism teaches the Five Constants (常). These are ren, yi, li, zhi and xin. They are general virtues (美德) around the world. The most important two are ren and li.
Ren is the feeling of care and love we should have for others. Confucius (孔子) explained ren could best be understood as loving others. He is famous for teaching people “What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others” (己所不欲,勿施于人。). It is quite similar to what is known in the West as the Golden Rule (treat others as you wish to be treated).
The meaning of ren is easy to understand, but li is a little harder to express. While ren is mostly about our opinions and feelings, li is about how we express our opinions and feelings towards others. Besides, it’s also about how to remember ancestors (祖先).
Perhaps the most well-known Confucian virtue is xiao. This is the duty children have to their parents. Xiao means loving, respect ng, obeying and taking care of one’s parents in their old age. In Confucianism, xiao is important for a harmonious (和谐的) society: Without it, the whole world would fall into a mess.

Should we use artificial intelligence (AI, 人工智能) in schools Some people may say no, but many experts think we should use it in a good way. They say AI can help us learn better.
Zheng Qinghua, the headmaster of Tongji University, said it's important for us to use AI in education. He believed that AI could help us learn new things and get better at what we study. He also suggested that young people should improve their understanding of the knowledge created by technology.
In fact, AI has already become more and more important for teaching and learning. Zheng stressed the widespread use of different models, such as Ernie Bot, an AI chatbot (聊天机器人) developed by Baidu. It is helpful for people to write papers and solve science problems. Students also used AI for their study. Asurvey made by online learning platform Study showed that 89 percent of students had used ChatGPT to help them do homework.
However, some people worry that it may bring the problem of academic integrity (学术诚信) and bad influence on education. Instead of simply using AI to give answers or finish homework and tests, people should focus on using AI to help students be creative and have the ability of solving real-world problems, said Zheng.
Colin Bailey, the president of Queen Mary University of London, said that as ChatGPT develops fast, stopping AI from being used in schools is not the answer. Instead, we should think about how to use it safely and in the right way.
To achieve it, people around the world are working on rules to make sure AI is used in a good way. In the US, people are making a plan to protect people's rights with chatbots. China also has some interim measures (临时的措施) for managing AI services.

Teens will finally grow up some day, leaving their parents and facing the challenges in life alone, so they should get basic life skills and good working habits.
The government has been trying to pay attention to the importance of labor education (劳动教育). But this has been overlooked (忽视) in recent years. Many teens do not value the importance of working hard. There is a teenage girl named Nancy, and she never helps out around the house. Once her mother was on vacation for a week, leaving her alone at home. When her mother came home from vacation, she could not find a clean dish or a clean shirt.
Schools play an important role in teaching students about the value of working hard. Primary and middle schools should provide students with labor courses every week. To our joy, some schools have provided each class with a piece of field to plant their favorite vegetables. For example, No. 38 Middle School in Hefei, set up a 500-square-meter farm on an open platform (露天平台) of their teaching building. Each class is asked to grow and pick vegetables there.
Parents should also encourage children to learn how to do chores at home. Teens should master one or two life skills every year. These skills can include cooking, washing their own clothes and tidying their rooms. The basic skills may help teens to solve the problems they will meet in the future.

Paul Salopek, a writer for National Geographic, started a 38, 624-kilometre journey from the birthplace of humans in Africa in 2013. He planned to hike through the Middle East, Asia, North America, hoping to reach South America by 2027. He tries to follow in the footsteps of ancient humans out of Africa and rediscover the planet.
China is an important stop on Salopek’s journey. In 2021, he started his walking in Yunnan. Salopek met people from different ethnic minorities (少数民族). He was deeply moved by the warmth of the local people, who invited him to their homes and treated him with special food. He tried to learn useful expressions from their languages, but they were too difficult to understand.
During the walk, Salopek loved the special Yunnan lifestyle. He would spend several days living with a farmer, talking for a long time under a tree. He would stop to film some young men who were building their houses. He was surprised that in the villages, people still use their hands to build houses and roads, making tools for living and farming. He was impressed (印象深刻) by how people slowed down and enjoyed their traditional way of life.
Actually, Salopek is practising slow journalism (新闻工作) along the way, which encourages reporting news with close attention and careful study. “Though technology brings us closer, too much information leaves us little time to think,” said Salopek, “It allows me to make hidden connections that we miss when we travel too fast and catch valuable moments during the journey. ”

There was once an old man who went to the seaside every morning, walking along the beach, drawing pictures and enjoying the beautiful sea. One morning, he came across a beach accidentally where thousands of starfish had washed up.
The old man noticed a little girl who was coming in the distance. As she walked, she would stop to bend down (弯下腰), pick up an object and throw it into the sea.
The man walked closer asking what she was doing by the seaside. She stopped, looked up, and replied, “Throwing starfish into the sea.”
The man asked her why, to which she replied, “The sea has washed them up onto the beach and they can’t go back to the sea by themselves. When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water.”
The man noted, “But there are miles and miles of beach and there are thousands of starfish all along every mile, how will you make much of a difference ”
The girl bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it as far as she could into the sea. Then she turned towards the old man, gave a smile and said, “I made a difference to that one!”
After hearing the girl’s explanation, the old man was shocked. People often think they can’t do enough to make a big difference so they put off their actions or wait for someone else to take the lead.
However, the little girl taught the old man a very important lesson. Everyone has the chances to create positive (乐观的, 积极的) changes. While you may not be able to change the whole world, you can make a big difference for a small part of it.

The Power of Dreams
Everyone has dreams. For 15-year-old Sarah, she dreamed of being an artist. She spent hours every day drawing quickly in her notebook—making pictures of birds, trees, and places near her home. Her teachers saw she was good at it and asked her to join the school art club.
At first, Sarah had a hard time. Difficult shapes felt impossible to draw, and some classmates laughed at her for “wasting time.” It made her upset and disappointed at the beginning. She almost stopped trying, but her art teacher, Ms. Lopez, told her: “Every great artist started as a beginner. Mistakes help you get better.” She kept going, working on her art for two hours after school every day.
Months later, the city had a youth art contest. Sarah sent in a painting of the sunset over the river by her house. She followed her teacher’s advice and worked very hard on the painting. When the results came, Sarah’s painting won first prize! Her art was shown in the city library, giving ideas to others. Although she didn’t think she could win the contest, but her strong will made it happen.
Dreams need bravery and hard work. Sarah learned that problems are part of growing. Today, she studies art in high school, hoping to make beautiful art that touches people’s hearts.

Feng Yinan, an 88-year-old lady, has achieved something truly amazing. Over 16 years, she took part in 997 exams and finally got her degrees. Her silver hair made her stand out among the young students in the exam rooms.
Before retirement (退休), Feng only had vocational (职业的) school education. During China’s reform and opening-up (改革开放), she wanted to take self-study exams to gain more knowledge. However, her busy work and family life stopped her. Later, knowing self-study exams are open to people of all ages, she started studying at 72.
It wasn’t easy for her. Because it was harder for her to remember things, and new knowledge kept coming out. But Feng didn’t give up. Then she went on to study law at Nanjing University and engineering management (工程管理) at Nanjing Tech University. Feng’s secret to success was simple. She made study her first thing and kept learning.
Actually, if we compare our real learning experience with Feng Yinan’s, we may find many people probably have the same learning methods as hers, such as playing an active role in our own progress and so on.

Breaking is making history as a brand-new event at the 2024 Paris Olympics! This exciting activity mixes dance moves with acrobatic tricks (杂技), creating a fun way to compete. It all started on the streets of New York City in the 1970s when young people created this special dance style. Now, breakers from around the world will show their best spins (旋转), jumps, and freezes to hip-hop (嘻哈) music, trying to win gold medals.
The name “breaking” has an interesting story. In hip-hop music, there are short breaks. During these breaks, dancers would jump in to show their coolest moves. That’s how breaking got its name. What makes breaking special is that it’s not just about winning—it’s about creativity, having fun, and bringing people together.
Breaking is a sport that anyone can do. Whether you’re a boy (B-boy) or a girl (B-girl), young or old, breaking welcomes everyone. You don’t need expensive equipment—just your body, some music, and lots of energy. Now, many schools are starting breaking classes because it’s great exercise and helps students feel more confident.
There are three mam kinds of moves in breaking. “Top rock” is fancy footwork while standing up. “Down rock” means fast moves using hands and feet on the floor. “Freeze” is the cool moment when a breaker suddenly stops dancing and holds a special pose (姿势), like they are frozen.
At first, breaking might seem challenging. Some moves require strong arms and good balance. But with practice, anyone can learn. Many breakers say the best part isn’t the moves—it’s how breaking makes them feel. When you finally land a move you’ve practiced for weeks, or when the crowd cheers tor you, It’s an amazing feeling.
Breaking teaches important life lessons too. It shows that if you keep trying, you can improve at anything. Many professional breakers started just by practicing in their bedrooms! Now, with breaking in the Olympics, more people than ever are discovering this fun sport. Who knows Maybe the next Olympic breaking champion is reading this passage right now!

As a middle school student, I never thought Artificial. Intelligence (AI) could be part of my daily life. But now, it’s like a helpful friend that supports me.
Every morning, my smart speaker wakes me up with gentle music. “Good morning!” it says. “The weather today is sunny. Don’t forget your P.E. clothes.” At first, I found it strange to talk to a machine. But now, I ask it questions like, “What’s the capital of Australia ” or “How do you spell ‘environment’ ” It answers quickly and clearly.
In English class, our teacher uses an AI-powered app called “Speak Easy”. When I practice speaking, the app listens and corrects my pronunciation. Once, I said “library” with a heavy accent (口音). The app played the correct sound three times until I got it right. “Great job!” it praised. I felt so proud.
Al also helps me with homework. Last week, I was stuck on a math problem. Instead of asking my parents, I took a photo of the question and sent it to an AI tutor (导师). It showed me step-by-step solutions and even explained the mistakes I made. “Math isn’t so scary anymore.” I told my friend. However, my favorite AI tool is the reading app on my tablet because it reads stories aloud with different voices-happy, and, or excited. When I read The Little Prince, the AI made the prince’s voice sound curious and dreamy. It felt like the character was right there with me.
Of course, AI isn’t perfect. Once my smart speaker misunderstood “turn on the light” and played a song. We all laughed! But these small mistakes remind me that AI is still learning, just like us.
Now, I realize AI isn’t something far away. It’s a tool that makes my life easier and more fun. As long as I use it wisely, it can help me become better at learning and exploring the world. Maybe one day, I’ll even create my own AI helper!
91.Did the writer find it strange to talk to a machine at first

Paul Salopek, a writer for National Geographic, started a 38,624-kilometre journey from the birthplace of humans in Africa in 2013. He planned to hike through the Middle East, Asia, North America hoping to reach South America by 2027.
During the walk. Salopek loved the special Yunnan lifestyle.
Actually. Salopek is practising slow journalism (新闻工作) along the way, which encourages reporting news with close attention and careful study. “Though technology brings us closer, too much information leaves us little time to think,” said Salopek, “It allows me to make hidden connections that we miss when we travel too fast and catch valuable moments during the journey.”

Mental health is as important as physical health. In China, May25th (5.25) is seen as Mental Health Day. The date “5.25” sounds like “I love me” in Chinese, reminding us to care for our psychological (心理的) well-being.
Many teenagers experience stress from schoolwork, exams, or relationships. Without proper attention, these pressures may lead to anxiety (焦虑), low self-esteem (低自尊), or even depression. Good mental health helps us stay positive, build strong relationships, and face challenges confidently.
Here are some simple ways to stay mental health: Firstly, share your feelings— Talking to trusted friends or family members can relieve stress. Secondly, stay active—Regular exercise releases endorphins (内啡肽) that improve mood. Thirdly, get enough rest—Sleep helps our brains recover from daily stress. Last but not least, practice self-care—Doing things you enjoy, like reading or listening to music, can bring happiness.Schools now pay more attention to students’ mental health by offering counseling services (咨询服务) and mental health education. Since 2012, Shanghai Students’ Post has been leading volunteers to carry out volunteer teaching every year. So far, nearly a thousand city-born but big-hearted volunteers have brought knowledge and happiness to children from mountain villages. The following is two volunteers’ experiences.
Chang Tianze
On the morning of January 19, 2025, our flight to Guilin took off and we began our challenging trip as volunteer teachers in Fengyan Village. In my first class, Itaught the kids a French birthday song. Since the students hardly had a chance to learn a foreign language, it was difficult for them to learn French. Moreover, as I wasn’t experienced enough to manage the class, my first class was in a mess. But I didn’t give up. Next day, I taught them a poem by combing (融合) Chinese, music and art together. It was a big success. Through this experience,I realized a meaningful life lies in challenging yourself.
Ying Shengjun
During my volunteer teaching at Gaoligong Mountain in Yunnan, I taught physics and chemistry to them. They were all interested in my class and listened to me carefully. Surprisingly, after class, some students gave me a big bag of plums (李子) they collected in the mountain. I was moved by their sweet hearts. When we wereabout to leave, some students were in tears and said goodbye to us. They thanked us for our two-day course. I must thank them for teaching me to be an honest person. At the same time, they also taught me to be kind to others. I got such a sense of happiness and pride through this experience. I think a meaning life lies in lighting the ways for others.

Over the past few years, people of all ages have been discovering that they can do many things by using AI chatbots. Powered by AI, chatbots can deal with a wide range (范围) of tasks, such as replying to messages and providing useful information.
On social media, different users have shared what they use chatbots for. For example, as a teacher, Lisa usually uses the chatbot to get new ideas or organize information. It can always come up with creative ideas and save her a lot of time. John is a middle school student, and he uses the chatbot to practice English. It helps improve his speaking and writing. He thinks it is always polite and patient, just like a perfect teacher.
Chatbots have many advantages, but it‘s necessary to learn how to use them wisely. Here are some experts’ suggestions. First, chatbots are not always right. Always double check the information given by chatbots. Second, don’t always turn to chatbots for answers. That might make you less skilled at solving problems. Try to solve problems yourself first. Use chatbots only when you are truly in need or want to check your answers. Third, don’t talk to chatbots all the time, which might make you feel lonely or disconnected from people. Find a good balance (平衡) between talking to chatbots and spending time with friends and family.
Though chatbots are becoming increasingly useful, they’re not perfect yet. Accept the fact that they have limitations (局限) and don’t expect too much from them.

122.How does John like the chatbot

In the middle of Tibet lies a beautiful city named Nagchu (那曲). The city is full of lakes, rivers, and forests that need caring. Many people in Nagchu are working together to keep the city clean and safe. The local government supports these people and pays them to patrol (巡逻) lakes, rivers, and forests.
Out of the city’s 505,400 people, over 90,000 work as ecological (生态的) protectors, with more than 14,000 focusing on water protection. Over the past few years, a growing number of young people have started taking part in protecting water, too.
Tsega is one of the young protectors. He has been protecting the water for many years. His village Lothe sits very high in the mountains and is the home of the Jangchu Diruk Glacier (姜古迪如冰川), which is very important because it’s the main source (源头) of the Yangtze River — the longest river in China. Tsega and his fellow villagers understand the importance of keeping the water clean because it serves as drinking water for people and animals living nearby. In Lothe, over 300 caretakers help clean rivers, wetlands, and grasslands just like Tsega.
Another caretaker, Sodrub, from Lhegan village in Nagchu, says their team patrols every week to pick up rubbish like plastic bottles around the lakes. They also advise tourists not to litter while traveling.
In total, more than 2,700 patrol workers are working in the Three-River-Source National Park in Nagchu’s Drachen county. Local leaders say that taking care of nature is everyone’s job, and they will keep protecting their mountains and rivers in the future.

Zhao Yicheng stood ready at a national speed climbing trial event last month. In front of him was a 15-meter-high climbing wall. It looked challenging, but the 15-year-old wasn’t nervous. He knew he could win. His real goal, in fact, was to break his own best of 4.7 seconds.
At the sound of a sharp beep, Zhao took off. The whole stadium (体育场) went wild as the result came out——4.656 seconds. “I knew I’d make it,” Zhao later told reporters. “But I never thought I’d make it so soon. I feel perfect today!”
Zhao’s journey on the climbing wall began when he was five years old. One day, a friend took him to a climbing gym. The boy fell in love with the sport as soon as he tried it. He started to practice every weekend and turned out to be highly gifted at climbing. By the age of nine, he was winning youth competitions.
In 2023, Zhao began to receive professional training. During his first winter training camp, his personal best improved from 5.4 seconds to 4.99 seconds. For many other climbers, such a big leap (飞跃) would take years of hard training.
But Zhao doesn’t spend all his time on the walls. He is also a book lover when he is free. Zhao believes that a strong body is not enough for him to be a great climber. A sharp mind is also very important, and reading can help him think more clearly.
Because of his age, Zhao cannot compete internationally until next year. But that’s not really a big problem for him. The boy is using the wait to get fully prepared. Who knows Perhaps soon, he’ll break his own best again!

Pang Zhongwang, born in a small village in Hebei Province, has become an inspiration to millions of Chinese students through his unusual life journey. Coming from a poor farming family, he faced many challenges but never lost hope.
As the only child of his family, Pang began helping with housework at the age of 6. His parents worked hard to pay for his education while he lived with his grandparents. Every day after school, he did lots of housework and took care of his sick grandmother. Although he faced these difficulties, Pang always kept his schoolwork as the top task. He lived in a poor family, but his grades remained excellent both in primary and middle school.
The turning point came in 2017 when Pang scored 684 points in the college entrance exam. This outstanding achievement made him enter Tsinghua University, China’s top engineering school. His story spread online and highly inspired the young in China.
Pang’s life teaches us valuable lessons. First, he shows that family background doesn’t decide one’s future. Second, his story proves that hard work can overcome any difficulty. Finally, he reminds us to stay thankful. During interviews, Pang always expressed thanks to his parents and teachers instead of complaining about hardships.
This young man from Hebei has lit a lamp of hope for countless students facing challenges. His journey tells the world that with strong will and daily effort, even the hardest dreams can come true. This winter, enamel basins (搪瓷盆) are becoming popular again. These basins, which were once common in many homes, are now being used in a new way. They are being paired with freshly made strawberry cakes and topped with fresh strawberries. This unique combination (独特组合) has made the enamel basin a favorite among buyers, especially young people.
Mr. Sun, the owner of a cake shop in Jinan, Shandong Province, shared his experience. He said, “The 6-inch (英寸) enamel basin strawberry cake is priced at 87 yuan per basin. It mainly draws young customers.” Since the shop started selling these cakes in November, they have sold nearly a thousand basins. This shows how much people love this new idea.
Many people buy the enamel basin strawberry cake because it reminds them of their childhood. In the past, their mothers used similar basins to store lard (猪油). This brings back happy memories. Some online users even suggest using the basin to store lard after finishing the cake. This way, the basin can be used again and not wasted.
The popularity of enamel basin cakes has also increased the sales of enamel basins. Because more people want to buy them, the prices of these basins have gone up. However, experts believe that this will not last long. As more enamel basin makers enter the market and strawberry prices stay stable (稳定的), the cost of the cake is expected to drop. This means that in the future, the cake will become more affordable for everyone.

Have you ever argued with your parents about putting away the iPad or turning off a video game Most families are facing these problems. A family survey made by Brigham Young University and Deserve News showed parents of teenagers were most worried about their kids’ over-use of technology. They believe it’s bad for their children to use the screen for a long time.
Smartphones and iPad have been around for ages. The iPhone was introduced to the market in 2007 and the iPad followed three years later in 2010. But screen time is nothing new. When your parents were growing up, they watched television or even played video games, too.
Scientists say too much screen time brings many problems. More than two hours a day of screen time raises your risk of being overweight. Too much screen time at night stops you from getting healthy sleep. Those who stay up late playing with phones may cause a disruption (混乱) of the biological clock.
How to deal with the problem First, reach an agreement with your family about where, when, and how you are going to use phones and other devices (设备). No more than an hour a day is enough for kids during the school week. To better use a mobile device, consider enjoying it with your family, like watching movies together.

152.When was the iPad introduced to the market

I still remember the last day of my high school military training (军训). I sat down on my bed— and CRACK (断裂)! The wooden bed board broke in half! My face turned tomato red as I sat in the middle of the mess.
Well, that bed was too weak, clearly, but I was also too heavy. At 1.72 meters tall, I weighed 95 kilograms. I never liked exercise. I spent all my time at my desk either doing homework or reading books. To make matters worse, my parents often cooked me meat-heavy meals. They hoped I would become muscular (肌肉发达的). But instead of hearing “Wow!”, all I heard was the groaning (呻吟) of chairs and beds.
Now, I’m afraid more beds and chairs might be groaning. Over half of adults and nearly one in five schoolchildren in China are overweight. Many of them say they don’t have time to exercise. They are always ordering more takeout (外卖食物) and eating too much without realizing it.
But as I always say, being busy is no excuse for not exercising. After breaking that poor bed, I knew I had to change. I didn’t have time for the gym, so I made small changes in my daily life. Sometimes, I cycled ten kilometers home after work. On weekends, I cleaned my apartment. I also ate more healthily. Guess what I’m now 21 kilograms lighter than my high school self! I no longer have to worry about breaking a bed when I travel!
Are you carrying extra weight like I once did Maybe it’s time to make some lifestyle changes. Don’t wait until you break a bed!

2.What happened to the writer’s finger because of her carelessness

One small step towards changing the world can make a big difference. Be the change for someone and inspire others to do the same.

During the walk. Salopek loved the special Yunnan lifestyle.

121.What does Lisa use the chatbot to do
122.How does John like the chatbot

As Pang himself once said: “I don’t think my life is hard. My mother’s optimism (乐观) deeply influences me, teaching me to face challenges with a positive attitude. I love my parents and value the chance to study—that’s enough to make me happy.”
