◆Step 1 Leading in 1.Greet the class and briefly talk with the students about their holidays. 2.Discuss with the students like this: T:What do you usually do when you study English S1:I often read English books. T:(To class) Good.He∕She studies English by reading English books.That’s a good way.(Then to another student) Now,what do you usually do when you study English S2:I... 设计意图通过师生问答互动环节引入新课话题。为1b的听力做铺垫。
◆Step 2 Work on 1a Help the students to say out their ways of learning. Teacher:What are your other learning styles Students:I study English by     . ①reading English newspapers ②going over exercise books ◆Step 3 Work on 1b 1.Read the instruction. 2.Play the recording for the first time.Students only listen. 3.Play the recording for a second time.Ask the students to match the ways with the names in 1b. 4.Check the answers with the whole class. ◆Step 7 Work on 2d 1.Ask the students to talk about the picture and scan the conversation. 2.Ask the students to read aloud the conversation in 2d.Learn the new words and phrases. 3.Ask these questions:(见课件) What’s Jack going to do next week How does he feel about it What’s Jack’s problem when he reads And What’s Annie’s suggestion 4.Check the answers with individual students to see how well they understand. 5.Play the recording of the conversation in 2d,and get the students to read after the recording.Then ask several pairs to act out the conversation. 设计意图通过听、说训练,学生对这节课的目标语言有了一定的了解与认识,并且在一定程度上有创新的能力,通过此环节让学生达到学以致用的目的。
◆Step 8 Language points 1.how 引导的疑问句 how 引导的特殊疑问句可用来询问做事的方式或手段,意为“怎样”。 —How do you study for a test ——你是怎样学习来准备考试的 —I study by working with a group.——我是通过小组合作来学习的。 “by + v.-ing”常常表示手段、方式或方法,可以用来回答“how”引导的特殊疑问句。 2.word by word 逐字地 don't translate the sentences into Chinese word by word.不要把句子逐字翻译成汉语。 类似的短语还有:day by day 一天天地 one by one 逐个 He is getting older day by day.他一天天长大。 3.“The+比较级....,the+比较级...”表示“越……,就越……”。例如: The more careful you are,the fewer mistakes you will make.你越细心,出错就越少。 The higher the mountain is,the thinner the air will be.山越高,空气就越稀薄。

教学反思 本节课重点以使用“by”来表达做事的方法,重点强调了如何正确运用“by”进行说、写;本课时通过听、说活动,用目标语言中的句型对各种学习英语的方法进行了讨论,为学生提供了最佳的英语学习方法。学生进入初三,学习压力增大。因此,要利用一切机会鼓励学生快乐学习,告诉他们在课堂上不必太过拘谨。建议学生将书中学到的学习英语的方法运用到实际生活中,从而达到学以致用的目的。
