An argumentative text is to convince (说服) readers to adopt the author’s point of view.
Usually, it starts with a clear argument (论点).
Then, it provides supporting evidence (证据). Each paragraph can offer a different reason or piece of evidence.
Finally, a brief conclusion is needed to sum up the argument, restate (重申) the position, and call on the readers to take action.
