It was sunny so we decided to go to the Tian’anmen Square first. As soon as we stepped off the train, we felt the unique atmosphere of this ancient city. In the evening, we arrived at the famous Wangfujing Street. This is one of Beijing’s shopping centers. We planned to taste Beijing duck.However, although we waited for over one hour, we couldn’t buy some because there were so many people. What a pity! So we only had some noodles. After dinner, we walked along the street and bought something special for my grandparents. Day 2: A Fusion(融合) of Modernity and Nature Sunday, July 28th On the second day, we set out early for the Summer Palace（颐和园）. However, we weren’t allowed to get in because we didn’t reserve. Then we just walked along the hutong to enjoy the Beijing Opera. We saw some old bikes and buildings. I wondered what life was like in the past there. I ran and played games in the hutong with my brother. I felt like I was a happy bird. After lunch, we went to the 798 Art Zone. We visited several exhibitions（展览）there, feeling the charm of modern art. In the evening, we visited the Olympic Park and saw the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. These iconic buildings looked particularly beautiful when lit up at night, like works of art. We walked around the park, feeling the modern vitality(活力) of the city.
