[注意] 表达“努力学习”，也可用 study hard。

[拓展] hard work 为名词短语，在句中作为主语、宾语或表语使用，表示艰苦的工作或学习。

3. I miss my parents very much. 我非常想念我的父母。(教材第 55 页，3b)
miss /m s/ [动词] 想念
miss 在句中作及物动词，其第三人称单数形式为 misses.
I know you miss your mother very much. 我知道你非常想念你的母亲。
[拓展] ① miss 作及物动词，还可意为“没赶上，错过”。

He arrived too late and missed the train. 他到得太晚，没赶上火车。
I missed seeing that movie. 我错过了看那部电影。
② Miss 意为“小姐；女士”，通常用于未婚女性的姓氏前以示礼貌，也可用于学生对未婚女教师的称呼。

have a bath 洗澡 (英式英语)

[注意] bath 还可作动词，表示“给······洗澡”或“洗澡”，多用于英式英语。在美式英语中，通常使用“bathe”。此外，在表示“洗身体某部位(尤指清洗伤口)”时用 bathe。

on Saturday morning 在星期六上午
相当于 on the morning of Saturday。在具体的某一天或某一天的上午、下午或晚上前，用介词 on。
on the morning of June 1st 在六月一日的早上
on Tuesday evening 在星期二晚上
[拓展] ① at 后常接时刻，也可与 noon、night 等搭配。
I left home at 5 a.m. so as to be there on time. 我早上 5 点钟就出门，以便准时到达那里。
② in 后常接年份、月份、季节，也可与 morning、afternoon、evening 搭配。
