prefer / pr 'f (r)/ v.更喜欢，宁愿

I prefer to write poems.我更喜欢写诗。
prefer to do sth.意为“宁愿做某事”，
“更喜欢做某事”，prefer后接动词不定式。
I prefer the quiet countryside to the noisy cities.
我喜欢安静的乡村胜过喧闹的城市。
prefer＋名词/动词的 ing形式＋to＋名词/动词的 ing形式意为“喜欢……胜过……”。
He preferred to stay at home rather than go to the concert with me.
