Analysis of the teaching materialI. Teaching Material AnalysisThe theme of this unit is "Rules." Section B 2a - 2c builds on the school rules learned in Section A by further expanding into rules in the family and daily life. This section aims to enable students to express their opinions and feelings about rules using the language knowledge they have learned through reading a letter for help and writing a response. It also aims to develop students' reading comprehension and writing skills.(1) Lesson type :This lesson is a writing period.2.Analysis of the studentsAfter previous learning, students have already mastered some vocabulary and sentence patterns related to rules, such as "can," "have to," "must," "can't," and "mustn't," and have a certain foundation in language. Seventh-grade students have a strong curiosity and desire for knowledge, and they can actively participate in classroom activities under the guidance of teachers. Teaching Difficult Points(1) Understand the usage and distinction of modal verbs when expressing the rules.5.Teaching and learning MethodsTeaching methods:(1) “Task-based learning method”: New Syllabus Design encourages teachers to use this teaching method. So I give them some tasks and activities ,such as free talk in my class , They can finish them dependently or in groups. It can make the Ss the real masters in class.(2) As we all know: the main aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson ,I’ll also use “Communicative” teaching method to make rules in 2c.(3)We will have competitions in the whole lesson, so “Group work teaching method” is a good method.5.Teaching and learning MethodsLearning methods:(1). Teach Ss how to be successful language learners.(2). Teach Ss how to develop the writing skill — fomat& analyze the question; how to communicate with others; how to learn new words; how to learn independently;(3).
