一、教学内容分析
本课时包含一篇迈克尔介绍自己家乡的说明文,让学生了解迈克尔所居住社区的环境和设施。通过阅读,完成思维导图,让学生学会总结归纳文本,培养学生提取文本中的重要信息的能力。利用所给的例文,积极思考并小组讨论街区中应该有哪些基础设施,这些基础设施分别为我们提供了哪些服务。并根据讨论内容,画出自己的梦想街区,鼓励学生在街区中做一个好邻居,培养学生对自己所在街区的热爱。
二、语篇分析
【What】 本课时包含一篇说明文。迈克尔介绍了自己村子的环境与生活。迈克尔住在高地村。他家附近有个池塘,冬天会结冰,他能和朋友在上面打曲棍球。社区还有个新的购物中心,离他家仅三个街区,里面有杂货店、银行、书店和电影院。他父母在杂货店购物,有时他会一起去。他最喜欢社区里的书店,周末喜欢去那,那里安静且椅子舒适,有时他能读一下午书。邻居们友善有礼貌,似乎每个人都在这里享受美好生活。 【Why】 本课时的说明文,让读者了解迈克尔所居住社区的环境和设施。传递一种舒适、和谐的社区生活感受。通过作者对书店的喜爱,鼓励阅读习惯的培养。同时帮助学生积累关于描述自己生活相关词汇和句型,为他们讲述自己的生活做铺垫。 【How】 本课时的说明文对池塘、购物中心和书店等地点的介绍明确。传达出作者对社区生活的满意和喜爱。本课时语言简洁生动,如:“It’s quiet and the chairs are very comfortable.”本语篇时态以一般现在时为主,如“There is...”“I like...”等,描述客观、真实,为学生写作提供了很好的参考。
三、学情分析
本节课的内容比较贴近学生生活,同学们理解起来也比较容易,但可能有些学生们对农村的生活不太了解,需要老师的讲解。但本节课需要学生填写思维导图,对学生的总结归纳能力要求较高,教师可以适当指导。画出理想街区并描述,是对学生的综合能力的考查。

环节一:学生进入预设情景,跟随 Michael一起去认识他的家。(2 mins) 预设情境,教师介绍新同学 Michael,跟随 Michael一起去看看他的家。

环节三:问题导入新的情境,学生思考如何做才能拥有美好社区,并与同伴口语练习。 (10 mins) 学生根据老师的问题,思考如何做。参考所给例子,发表自己的看法。就自己的看法与同伴展开讨论。

It is really comfortable and convenient. There is a big park in front of my house, so we can take in fresh air every day. I always cycle(骑自行车) in the park with my friends.
