Therefore,I had no friends and used to be lonely.Luckily, Tina paid attention to me and soon took the time to communicate with me. I remember winning the first prize in the English speech competition in Grade8.
When my English teacher told me to take part in the competition,I thought I was not good enough and refused her.However,she told me that I should be confident in myself because I was talented in spoken English. I was deeply encouraged and decided to have a try.In the forrowing days,I spent much time practicing my speech over and over again.And my teacher taught me to use body language better.When I stood on the stage,I was a little nervous. After taking a deep breath,I calmed down and began my speech with confidence and courage.When I heard I was the first prize winner,I couldn't believe my ears and jumped up and down with excitement.
This experience has had a big influence on my life.I realize that I should always believe in myself.It’s also important to make full preparation before I do
