These years, more and more people, especially teenagers, have weight problems. To help them work out this problem, our country makes a “Three-Year Action Plan for Weight Management”. The plan mainly focuses on two key parts: a balanced diet and regular exercise.
A balanced diet is the foundation (基础) of good health. It means eating different kinds of foods, including fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, and eating less high-fat, high-sugar, and high-salt food. For example, instead of having fried chicken every day, we can choose grilled (烤的) chicken, which is better for our health. Vegetables like broccoli and carrots have lots of vitamins and minerals and they are important in our daily meals.
Regular exercise is also important. It can help burn calories and make people strong. The plan wants teenagers to do at least 60 minutes of exercise every day. Activities such as running, cycling, and playing basketball are great choices. Running can improve our cardiovascular function (心血管功能), cycling is easy on the joints and good for endurance, and playing basketball can improve our teamwork skills while exercising our bodies.
The “Three-Year Action Plan for Weight Management” hopes to help people, especially teenagers, develop healthy habits and keep a proper weight, which will benefit them throughout their lives.
