“连音”或“连读”，指相邻的单词在语流中自然地连接起来读，而不是孤立地逐个发音，目的是让语言表达更流畅、自然，贴近母语者的说话习惯。
连音的核心规则是基于单词首尾的音素（辅音或元音）组合。

当前一个单词以辅音结尾，后一个单词以元音开头时，直接将辅音与后面的元音连起来读，仿佛构成一个 “新的音节”。
