Betty, my best friend, is a slim girl with big bright eyes. Her hair is longer than mine, and she usually wears it in a ponytail.
Kind and helpful, Betty is ready to help anyone any time. She always gives up her seat on the bus to someone in need, and she often helps us with our schoolwork.
Betty is also trustworthy. When something worries me. I always go to her. She listens to me carefully and understands me quite well. She knows how to cheer me up when I am feeling down.
Betty is the most wonderful friend in my life.

(1) 句中的 kind and helpful 是说明性状语，也称作主语补语，其功能是修饰或说明主语的状态、性质或特征，可前置放在句子开头，也可放在主语后。
(2) be ready to do sth. 愿意做某事；准备做某事
1. Kind and helpful, Betty is ready to help anyone any time.

(3) 句中的 any time 也可写作 anytime，意思是“在任何时候”。需要注意的是，any time 是短语，前面可加介词 at，也可以不加；anytime 是副词，前面无需加介词 at。

(1) 短语 feel like doing sth 意思是“想做某事”。
