A girl and a man are sitting next to each other on a train. The man asks if she would like to play a fun game. The girl politely refuses (拒绝) his request and hopes to sleep for a while.
The man explains (解释) that the game is easy and a lot of fun. “I ask you a question, and if you don’t know the answer, you pay me $5, and vice versa (反之亦然).” Again, she refuses and tries to get some sleep.
The man keeps trying. He says, “OK. If you don’t know the answer, you pay me $5, and if I don’t know the answer, I will pay you $500.” This catches the girl’s attention. Knowing that there will be no end unless (除非) she plays, she agrees to play the game.
