同化 (Assimilation) - “邻居影响了我!”
想象一下两个发音是邻居。当它们挨在一起时,其中一个发音可能会觉得:“哎呀,旁边那个音太难发了,或者太麻烦了,我干脆变得跟它有点像好了!” 结果就是,一个音因为受到它旁边音的影响,而改变了自己的发音方式。
所以同化现象纯粹是为了偷懒!让发音更省力、更顺滑。

Liaison 连读
连读 (Liaison) - “手拉手一起走!”
当一个单词以辅音结尾,下一个单词以元音开头时,我们常常会把结尾的辅音“送”给开头的元音,让它们像好朋友一样“手拉手”连在一起读。这样读起来就流畅多了,没有停顿。

还是为了偷懒和流畅!避免在辅音和元音之间停顿。
Pronunciation
简单记: “辅音 + 元音 = 连起来” (前词尾辅音 + 后词首元音)。
“元音 + 元音”用 /j/ 或 /w/ 连起来。
例如:
see a 分开读: /si / + / / (中间有空隙)
连读: /si j / → 在 /i / (元音) 和 / / (元音) 之间,很自然地加了一个轻微的 /j/ 音 (像中文“耶”的开头音),变成 see-ya。
