Kites have a long history in China. They date back thousands of years. There are different materials for making kites, such as wood, bamboo, paper, and silk. Early kites often looked like birds. In fact, the earliest kite we know of is in the shape of a bird. Modern kites come in many cool shapes. For example, some look like dragons or planes and make you go, WOW, some look like famous people from history and what Some kites even have colorful lights. They look really beautiful in the night sky. Flying kites is a very popular outdoor activity today. People like to fly kites on sunny, windy days in spring. If you're in wei fang, Shandong province in April, you're in for a treat. The city is famous for kites and there's a kite festival every April. You can go there and see all kinds of amazing kites.

Chinese Chess 中国象棋
Chinese chess, also known as Xiangqi, is a classic traditional board game handicraft with a history of over two thousand years.
The main materials for making Chinese chess sets include wood, stone, and ivory (though the use of ivory is now restricted).
What's really special about Chinese chess is that it's full of fun strategies(策略). Each piece moves in its own way, just like soldiers on a battlefield(战场). When you play it, you need to think hard and plan your moves.
Chinese chess is really popular because it has a long history and a lot of culture behind it. It's a big part of traditional Chinese culture. It's not only a fun game but also shows how smart the Chinese people are.
