一、单元内容分析
本单元的话题是“规则”，属于“人与社会”主题范畴，涉及“历史、社会与文化”主题群。本单元由Starting out、Understanding ideas、Developing ideas、Presenting ideas和Reflection几个板块构成，主要探讨不同类型规则的重要性、规则的演变以及在特定情境下如何遵循规则。教材通过多个板块逐步引导学生深入理解规则。
Starting out借助图片和名言，激发学生对规则的思考。Understanding ideas以火车上的经历为情境，展现规则被破坏的现象及后果，并学习动词不定式作目的状语的用法；Developing ideas的第一部分主要是听说的内容，第二部分为读写的内容，主要介绍网络安全规则，培养学生分析问题和制定规则的能力。Presenting ideas要求学生为班级设计新规则，提升学生解决实际问题和团队协作的能力。Reflection帮助学生总结单元知识，反思对规则的理解和认识。
二、单元教学目标
1.学生能够熟练运用本单元的词汇和表达，准确谈论各种规则，包括规则的内容、重要性等。

三、单元重难点
1.重点：
(1)学生扎实掌握本单元的词汇、句型，以及动词不定式作目的状语的语法知识。

Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and start a short conversation，such as asking students what rules they had to follow on their way to school that day.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Ask students to look at the picture about Rules around us.
2.Divide students into pairs to discuss the questions：“What kinds of rules do you need to follow in daily life ” and “Can you give an example ”
3.Walk around the classroom to listen to their discussions and offer help if needed.Then，invite some pairs to share their answers with the class.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2
1.Ask the students read the quotes and think about the meaning of the quotes.Then，ask them to share their understanding in groups.
2.Each group selects a representative to report their group’s ideas to the class.Encourage students to explain why they agree or disagree with a particular quote.
Step 4 Summary

本节课通过图片和名言引入规则这一话题，成功激发了学生的兴趣。学生们积极参与讨论，分享了自己对规则的看法。但在讨论规则的重要性时，部分学生思考不够深入，仅停留在表面现象。在表达过程中，部分学生存在语言表达不准确、不流畅的问题。后续教学中，可提供更多引导性问题，帮助学生深入思考，同时加强对学生语言表达的训练，如组织口语练习活动、提供范文学习等，提升学生的语言运用能力。

Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and briefly review the key points of this unit，such as different types of rules，the grammar of the infinitive of purpose，and the importance of rules in various situations.
Step 2 Designing the rule board
1.Have students work in groups and choose an area of school life to focus on.
2.Each group discusses the problems in the chosen area and thinks about rules that could solve these problems.They should also consider why these rules are important.
3.Provide an outline for the rule board and offer some language tips.
4.Let students design their rule boards.Walk around to offer help if students have difficulties.Encourage them to be creative in presenting their rules.
Step 3 Presentation and voting
1.Have each group practise presenting their rule board within the group.
2.Invite groups to present their rule boards to the class one by one.Encourage the audience to listen carefully and take notes.
3.After all the presentations，vote on the best three rule boards and the best three presentations.
Step 4 Reflection
1.Have students think about what they have learnt in this unit.
2.Ask some students to share their ideas about the unit learning.
3.Distribute a self evaluation form for students to evaluate their learning in this unit.
4.Ask students to share their problems during the learning process and invite other students to give advice.

在本次课程中，学生们积极参与团队合作和展示，多数学生能够结合单元知识提出有价值的班级规则，在一定程度上锻炼了团队协作和表达能力。在反思环节，部分学生对自身不足的认识不够深刻，自我评估不够全面。在今后的教学中，要进一步引导学生掌握科学的反思方法，培养良好的学习反思习惯，以更好地促进学生在知识学习和能力提升方面的发展。

1.Greet the class and ask students：“What rules should we follow when we are in a public palce ”
2.Share a short story about someone breaking rules in a public place to introduce the reading passage.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Have students look at the picture and answer the questions.
2.Ask some students to share their ideas.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2 to 4
1.Have students read the passage quickly and answer the question：“How did the passengers on a train break rules ”
2.After reading，ask students to read the passage again carefully.This time，they need to choose another suitable title for the passage and complete the table about what happened，how the writer felt，and the actions the writer took.
3.Ask some students to share their answers and check the answers.
Step 4 Think and share
1.Organise students to discuss in groups：“What do you think will happen next in the story ” and “Have you ever seen people break some rules What did you do ”
2.Ask students to share their group discussions with the class.Encourage students to think creatively about the story’s development and draw on their own experiences.
Step 5 Group work
1.Have a class discussion on how to encourage people to follow rules in public places.
2.Ask students to write a short paragraph about a time when they saw someone break a rule and how they felt about it.They can use the words and expressions from the passage.
Step 6 Summary

本节课通过阅读文章，学生们对规则在公共场合的重要性有了较好的理解，能够梳理文章中的场景和作者的反应。但在预测故事发展时，部分学生的想象力不够丰富，逻辑不够清晰。在写作练习中，部分学生对重点词汇和短语的运用不够熟练。后续教学中，可增加词汇运用的练习，提高学生的语言运用能力。此外，还可以引导学生阅读更多故事类文章，培养学生的想象力和逻辑思维能力。

Greet the class and show some online behaviours around them to introduce the topic.
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Let students look at the pictures and answer the questions：“What behaviours does each picture show ”and “Are these behaviours safe ”
2.Ask students to brainstorm what risks they might face when using the internet.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2 and 3
1.Have students read the online guide quickly to check the answers.
2.Ask students to read the guide again carefully.This time，they need to complete the notes about online safety rules.
3.Check the answers.
Step 4 Work on Activity 4
1.Have students discuss the questions in Activity 4 in groups.
2.Ask some students to share their answers and check the answers.
Step 5 Think and share
1.Have students work in group and think the questions：“Why does the writer mention a situation from the past at the beginning ” “Why do people need to make new rules ” and “Can you think of other important rules for online safety ”
2.Ask some groups to share their ideas.
Step 6 Work on Activity 5
1.Guide students to analyse the structure of the online safety guide.
2.Present the steps for writing a rule list for new things of modern life.
3.Help students choose a new thing of modern life，like online shopping or using AI.Then，guide them to do research and take notes based on the given questions.
4.Have students write their rule lists.Walk around the classroom to offer writing guidance.
5.After students finish writing，ask them to check their rule lists.
6.Invite some students to share their rule lists with the class.Encourage other students to listen carefully and give feedback.

本节课通过阅读网络安全指南，学生们理解了网络安全规则的重要性，对文章内容的理解和关键信息的分析掌握较好。但在写作过程中，部分学生在制定规则时不够全面，逻辑不够清晰，且在阐述规则重要性时不够充分。在今后的教学中，应提供更多优秀的规则制定范例，引导学生学习如何全面考虑问题、组织文章结构和进行有效论证。

Greet the class and show a famous line“To be，or not to be：that is the question.” Ask students：“Do they face hard decision in their life What did they do ”
Step 2 Work on Activity 1 and 2
1.Play the radio programme for the first time.Ask students to listen carefully and choose the topic of the programme.
2.Check the answer and play the programme again.This time，ask students to complete the notes.
3.Ask students to share the answers and check the answers.
Step 3 Work on Activity 3
1.Play the debate part.Ask students to listen and complete the arguments.
2.Play the debate part one more time.Check the answers and ask students to focus on how Tom and Xinyan debate.
Step 4 Work on Activity 4
1.Have students work in pairs to talk about how Tom and Xinyan debate.Encourage them to use expressions in p104.
2.Divide students into groups and carry on the debate.Each group chooses a side (for or against the topic “Is it ever OK to break rules ”) and prepares for a debate.Walk around the classroom to offer help and guidance.
3.Invite some groups to have a debate in front of the class.Have other students watch and give feedback.
4.Have a class discussion on special cases in following rules.Ask students to share what they have learnt in this section.

本节课通过听力和口语活动，学生们在一定程度上提高了听力和口语表达能力。在听力部分，部分学生在捕捉细节信息时存在困难，需要加强听力技巧的训练，如提前浏览题目、圈画关键词等。在口语表达方面，学生们能够表达自己的观点，但在运用论据支持观点和反驳对方观点时，部分学生的表达不够充分，没有条理。后续教学可以增加更多真实情境下的口语练习，如小组辩论、模拟法庭等，让学生在实际交流中提高表达能力。

1.Ask students to read the sentences and think about the meanings they express.
2.Show more sentences from the reading passage with the target grammar.
3.Guide students to summarise the grammar rules of using the infinitive of purpose.Give more examples for illustration.
4.Have students look at the grammar rules on p131 for further understanding.
Step 3 Work on Activity 6 and 7
1.Ask students to rewrite the sentences in Activity 6 with to，in order to or so as to.
2.Have students complete the letter to Story Aunt using the notes in brackets and the grammar they have learnt.
3.Check the answers together and explain the reasons for each choice.
Step 4 Group work
1.Organise a grammar game.Divide students into groups.
2.Each group is given a set of actions.They need to quickly come up with sentences using the infinitive of purpose to describe the purpose of these actions.The group that finishes first and has the most correct sentences wins.
Step 5 Work on Activity 8
1.Have students work in pairs.
2.Have students share their own story of following rules.
3.Invite some pairs to show their conversations in front of the class.

本节课通过回忆故事中的相关情节引入语法教学。学生们对动词不定式作目的状语的用法有了一定的理解。但在实际运用中，学生们仍然容易混淆to、in order to和so as to的用法。后续教学需要增加更多的对比练习，加强对这一语法点的巩固。同时，在课堂练习中，要关注基础较弱的学生，给予他们更多的指导和帮助，确保每个学生都能掌握这一语法知识。
