Why did the first Chinese team climb Qomolangma in 1960
(For junior8 students)
In 1960, Chinese climbers successfully reached the top of Mount Qomolangma for the first time. This was a very big achievement because:
1.National Pride（自豪）- China wanted to show its ability and spirit by climbing the world's highest mountain.
2. Scientific study （科学研究）- The climbers helped study the mountain's weather, geography, and environment.
3. Friendship with Neighbors - China and Nepal later agreed on the mountain's height , improving peace.
4. Encouraging Bravery（鼓舞士气） - The climb pushed people to work hard and overcome challenges.
The climb was difficult, but the team never gave up. Their success made all Chinese people proud!
