2. Students learn to use skimming skills to quickly obtain the main idea of the article.

二、基本教学设计(体现“教学内容整体把握”)
1. 教学探究流程
时间预测 教 学 过 程 设计调整
Step1: Lead-in
1. The teacher shows some pictures or video clips of people communicating in different situations through multimedia and asks students, "What can you see in these pictures/videos Do you think their communication is effective Why or why not " Guide students to think and answer, leading to the topic of effective communication skills in this lesson. Justification:
Carefully choose the right pictures or video clips to arouse students’ interest.
Step2: Pre-reading
1. Use the PPT to display the key vocabulary and phrases that appear in 1a, such as "conversation skills", "sincere", "body language", "mention", etc. Help students understand the meanings of the words through pictures, English explanations.
2. Lead students to read the vocabulary and phrases and correct their pronunciations. Then play a vocabulary game called "Word Quick-Response".
3. Let students do simple sentence-making exercises with the learned vocabulary. Invite some students to share their sentences. Justification:
Let students read vocabulary and phrases by themselves.
Step3: While-reading
1. Skimming: Distribute printed materials of the reading article to students. Let students quickly skim the article to find the main idea. The teacher asks, "What is the main idea of the passage " Guide students to pay attention to key information.
2. Scanning: The teacher asks some specific questions, let students read the article again to quickly find the answers.
Step4: Post-reading
1. Finish 1c: Complete the table with the information from the text.
2. 1d: Find out what the pronouns in...
3. 1e: Discuss the questions. Justification:
Design more exercises to finish for students.
Step5: Summary and Homework

- Level B: Read and recite the passage.
