允许
(1)表示提出请求或请求许可时,could 和can都可以用,但could语气更委婉。
Could/Can I come in 我可以进来吗
(2)在回答用could 提出的请求时,通常不用 could而用 can。
—Could I use your pen 我可以用你的钢笔吗?
—Of course you can. 当然可以。
此处不能用could
(3)用于表示能力: can could
表示现在的能力用can,表示过去的能力用could。can/could+v.原型; can/could无人称和数的变化
