I. Teaching Objectives:
1. Through observation and induction, Ss will be able to correctly understand and use the interrogative structure of the simple past tense and compound indefinite pronouns to inquire about and discuss past holiday experiences.
2. Through mutual inquiries about travel experiences and expressions of likes and dislikes, cultivate and enhance Ss’ interest in actively participating in practical holiday and weekend activities, inspire their love for life and for nature.
3. Observe and understand the world from a cross cultural perspective, thereby cultivating Ss’ logical and innovative qualities.
Ⅱ. Language Knowledge:
1. Key words & phrases:

2. Sentences.
(1) — Did you do anything interesting on your holiday

Ⅲ. Teaching Procedures:

(1) Understand conversations about holiday activities and develop the skill of extracting key information through varied listening tasks.
(2) Use the target language fluently to discuss past holiday experiences. (compound indefinite pronouns / simple past tense)

Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness
T observes whether Ss’ dialogues:
(1) Meet task requirements;
(2) Cover content dimensions from previous lesson;
(3) Use grammatically correct sentences.
Design Purpose
(1) Reinforce mastery of simple past tense & indefinite pronouns;
(2) Scaffold upcoming grammar instruction
Step 2 Presentation
1. Work on 3a
Ss read the sentences by focusing on simple past tense and indefinite pronouns.
2. Explain the rules of the tense and the rules of compound indefinite pronouns and conduct exercises on them.
3. Grammar points.
Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness:
T observes whether Ss can use the simple past tense and indefinite pronouns correctly.
Design Purpose:
Collaborative inquiry: consolidate past tense interrogatives
Independent exploration: master compound indefinite pronouns
Step 3 Practice
Task 3b: Monitor accuracy of compound usage in blanks.
(1) Complete dialogues individually; volunteer sharing.
(2) Role play dialogues.
Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness:
T observes whether Ss can use indefinite pronouns to fill in the blanks correctly.
Design Purpose:
Reinforce grammar through oral and written practice
Step 4 Group work
Task 3C: Complete the exercises of compound indefinite pronouns in the short passage about introducing vacation stories independently. Then discuss how to use the pronouns in groups.
Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness:
T circulate frequently during discussions; Pose guiding questions; Praise exemplary responses to boost engagement.
Design Purpose:
Build writing skills by extracting target patterns. Enhance narrative coherence (collaborative storytelling).

Ⅵ. Teaching Reflection
I try to guide Ss to actively participate through various teaching methods and approaches, successfully achieving the teaching objectives. However, some shortcomings were identified. Future lessons should strengthen practice and consolidation the irregular verb.
