教学重难点 重点:掌握because引导的原因状语从句;动物名词的单复数变化。 难点:灵活运用所学词汇和句型进行实际对话交流。
教学过程 教学活动 设计意图
Step1 Lead in Begin the class by asking students about their favourite animals and why. 2. Write a few examples on the board, highlighting the word “ because” to introduce the concept of reason. 通过询问 “最喜欢的动物及原因” 激活学生已有经验,自然引出核心词汇 “because”,以实例直观呈现 “表原因” 的语言功能,搭建新旧知识衔接桥梁,激发探究兴趣,聚焦本课主题。
Step2 Work on 3a 1. Read aloud the sentences provided and ask students to circle the word that introduces a reason. Discuss the answers together. 2. Explain the function of “ because" in sentences and provide more examples. 通过圈画 “表原因词汇(because)” 并讲解其功能,帮助学生明确 “because 引导原因状语从句” 的语法规则;结合实例深化理解,为后续语言运用奠定语法基础,强化 “原因表达” 的核心目标。
Step3 Work on 3b Present the conversation with empty spaces and the words in the box. Guide students to complete the conversation by choosing the correct words and underlining the animal nouns. Have students work in pairs to check their answers and practise reading the dialogue aloud. The answers are : where , They're , do , because , What's , don't. 通过对话填空任务,让学生在语境中运用所学词汇(where, because 等),强化 “原因表达” 和动物名词的识别;结对核对与朗读练习,提升语言运用准确性与流畅度,实现 “语法 - 语境 - 表达” 的结合。
Step 4 Work on 3c Show the nouns in the box and teach the rules for forming plurals, Have students change the nouns to their plural forms, Then check the answers, The answers are: eagles; foxes ;giraffes; mice ; penguins; sharks; sheep; snakes ; whales ; bears. 2. Once students have mastered the plural forms,"use these plural nouns to complete sentences provided or create their own ones. 聚焦动物名词单复数变化,通过规则讲解与练习(含特殊变化:sheep, mice),夯实语法基础;结合造句或补全句子任务,将复数形式从 “形式记忆” 转化为 “实际运用”,突破 “名词复数” 这一重点。
Step 5 Work on 3d 1.Organize students into pairs, Each student thinks of an animal and their partner asks questions to guess the animal, Model the following questions and answers as an example ,encouraging creativity in formulating new questions, A :Is the animal's tail long B:No, it isn't. A :Is it black and white B:Yes, it is. A : Where's it from B:It's from China. A:It's a panda! B :Yes, you're right ! Ask a few pairs to share their guesses and the questions they asked, emphasizing proper use of language structures. 以 “猜动物” 问答游戏创设真实交际场景,让学生在互动中灵活运用 “because”、复数名词及相关句型(Is it... Where's it from ),锻炼提问、应答与逻辑推理能力;小组展示强化合作学习与表达自信,突破 “实际对话交流” 难点。
Step 6 Summary Recap the key points learnt today, including the use of “ because" , forming plural nouns and engaging in conversational practice. 梳理 “because 用法、名词复数、对话练习” 核心要点,帮助学生构建系统知识框架,强化重点内容的记忆与理解,明确本课学习目标的达成情况。
Step 7 Homework Assign students to write a short dialogue with a friend about their favourite animals incorporating the use of “ because” and plural nouns. 通过写对话任务将课堂所学延伸至课外,要求融入 “because” 和复数名词,实现知识的内化与迁移,巩固语法规则和语言表达能力,培养自主学习习惯。
