一、单元主题
单元主题:“Look into the future”,本主题属于“人与社会”的主题范畴,涉及“科学技术改变生活”。
主题意义: 引导学生思考科技发展对人类生活的影响和意义,积极展望未来,努力创造未来。
二、单元教学目标
本单元学习后,学生能够:
1.用英语描述未来生活;
2.运用核心句型谈论对未来机器人、未来城市等未来生活的猜想;
3.掌握字母y和字母组合igh、ie在单词中的发音;
4.制作有关未来生活的海报,感受科技发展对生活的影响,积极展望未来。

第三课时(Speed up)
1.课时教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够:
(1)在看、听、读等活动中,获取未来城市的位置以及人们的生活方式;
(2)借助表格梳理两座未来城市的特点,根据表格内容介绍未来城市;
(3)设计自己理想中的未来之城,并运用所学语言进行介绍。
