— Could you swim when you were 5 years old 当你五岁时,你会游泳吗?
—Yes, I could. / No, I couldn’t. 是的,我会。/ 不,我不会。
2. 表示可能性
You could be right, but I don’t agree with you. 你可能是对的,但我不同意你的看法。

(1) 问句
Could you (please) (not) do ... 表示请求对方(不)做某事
Could you (please) do the dishes 你能洗一下餐具吗
Could I do ... 表示请求对方允许自己做某事

如:You could write a letter to say sory to Linda. 你可以写一封信向琳达道歉。
