【What】 本课时包含一篇短文。短文介绍了学校里的各类建筑（如教学楼、操场、实验楼等）的位置以及功能。学生们在操场上运动，在图书馆读书借阅，在实验楼上科学课，在教学楼上课。 【Why】 本课时的场景和内容都发生在学校里，贴近学生生活。这篇短文介绍了学校的不同建筑及其位置、功能等，帮助学生学习如何用英语介绍学校里的建筑（教学楼、操场、实验室等）。通过这篇短文的学习，学生能够介绍自己学校的建筑，有助于帮助学生了解学校的建筑，增加归属感。同时帮助学生积累关于学校内基础设施及功能的相关词汇和句型，为后续的写作和交流提供素材。 【How】 本课时语篇以第一人称的口吻介绍学校内不同地点的建筑及其位置、功能。关于介绍具体哪个建筑，使用“This is ...”、“That is ...”、“Look at ...”等句式结构。在介绍建筑的具体位置时，使用“In front of us is ...”、“Please turn around.”等句式结构。短文搭配图片，清晰易理解，为学生写作校园相关的内容提供了良好的范例。
三、学情分析
七年级学生刚进入初中校园，对新环境、新老师、新同学、新学科感到新鲜。本节课采用不同类型的活动，大量的图片和活动，创设贴近学生实际情况的场景，声画并茂，吸引学生的注意力，充分体现以学生为主体，师生互动，生生互动。在结对学习的过程中，团队一起努力完成任务，增加班级的凝聚力。在教师的指导下，通过感知、体验、参与、合作等方式激发学生的积极性与主动性。
四、教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够： 1.通过图片和短文了解学校内基础设施的名称以及它们的功能； 2.梳理并获取短文信息，补充完整思维导图，并根据思维导图编创介绍学校基础设施的对话； 3.画一张自己学校的图纸，并用所学内容向他人介绍自己的学校。
五、教学重难点
【重点】 1.通过图片和短文了解学校内基础设施的名称以及它们的功能； 2.梳理并获取短文信息，补充完整思维导图，并根据思维导图编创介绍学校基础设施的对话。 【难点】 画一张自己学校的图纸，并用所学内容向他人介绍自己的学校。
六、教学活动设计
环节一：观看视频，回答问题，引入新课。（8 mins） 学生观看视频，回答问题。讨论自己所了解的学校。选出自己最喜欢的地方，导入新课。

环节二：围绕短文展开阅读训练。（20 mins） 学生通过图片掌握词汇；讨论感知短文内容。短文先略读，完成填图。再读，回答问题。学生精读，找出主要知识点。

环节三：通过对话操练，情境介绍，运用所学语言，提升口语表达能力。（17 mins） 学生根据文章，补充完整思维导图，通过对话，锻炼学生的情景交际能力。画出学校图纸，利用所给表达方式，介绍自己的学校，提升口语表达能力。
