Have students look at the two pictures on page 58 and describe them. Have students read the rubrics and answer the following question. What type of text are they Have students read the poem “My dog” together and answer the following questions. What is the dog like Why does the writer think the dog is clever Have students read the poem “My cat” together and fill in the table below. Step 2 Apply and practise Have students finish the chart about “My dog”. Then have students introduce the poem “My dog” according to the chart. Have students finish the chart about “My cat”. Step 3 Transfer and innovate Have students change one of the blog posts in Part C on page 60 into a poem by filling in the blanks. Charlie is my little (1) , He is (2) .
