While-writing
Write about the person with the help of the chart.
“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I'm possible’.” J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, proves this with her life story.
Rowling faced many challenges. She was a single mother with little money, living in poverty. She even had to write in cafes because it was warmer there. When she first tried to publish Harry Potter, many publishers refused her. Many people thought her story about a boy wizard was too long or wouldn’t sell. Life was very hard for her at that time.
Step②
However, Rowling didn’t give up. She kept writing, even in cafes while her baby slept. She believed in her story and kept sending it to publishers. Finally, a small publisher accepted Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Today, Harry Potter has been one of the most successful book series ever. It has sold over 500 million copies and inspired movies, theme parks, and more. Rowling went from being poor to one of the richest authors in the world.
J.K. Rowling’s story teaches us that failure is not the end. Even when life is difficult, we should keep trying. As she once said, "Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life." Like Su Bingtian, she proves that hard work and belief in yourself can make dreams come true.
