The analysis of the text The conversation revolves around family members preparing for grandparents' visit and Peter preparing for friends' visit, discussing household chores and activity arrangements.Through real family conversations, ss master the sentence patterns of requests and arrangements, learn to communicate in hospitality scenes, and understand family responsibilities and hospitality.
The analysis of students The student has mastered basic vocabulary related to home and request sentence patterns, but is not proficient in pronunciation rules , and the accuracy of pronunciation and intonation in conversations is insufficient. In multiple rounds of conversation, some students may not express themselves naturally enough and need to strengthen situational practice. In teaching, it is necessary to combine fun activities to strengthen pronunciation and improve expression ability through group cooperation.
Core competences　　　 By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. understand the conversation about preparing for grandparents' arrival and extract key details. 2. infer meanings of phrases like "grandma clean" and discuss cultural aspects of family visits. 3. work in groups to create and perform original conversations.
Teaching thoughts The teacher sticks to the principle of student-center, leads students to work in groups or in pairs and learn English through activities, it aims to develop students’ core competence.

Teaching points Key Points: 1. Students will learn and use polite request structures (e.g.,"Can you help me... ","Could you please... "). 2. Students will expand vocabulary related to household chores and preparations. Difficult Points: 1.Correctly use weak reading and semantic pauses in conversations to naturally engage in multiple rounds of communication. 2. Cultivate students' ability to communicate and express their knowledge in practical situations.

Step I Warm up Greetings. 2.T sets a situation that how to prepare for a guest visiting, shows a video and leads ss to imagine more preparation. Students watch the video and show more preparation for guests visiting. Observe whether students have initially expressed preparation.
Purpose To inntroduce themes, create scenarios, stimulate students' interest in participation.
Step II Listening Play the audio recording once, and students should fill in the blanks. 2. Play the recording again and check the answers. Guide students to pay attention to vocabulary related to home. Under the guidance of the teacher, students complete the listening task, fill in the blank based on the listening content. To develop students’ ability to obtain key information.
Purpose Predict text content through images to train students' ability to perceive in advance.
Step III Reading 1.T asks students to finish the task in 2b—Read the conversation and answer the questions. And check the answers. 2.T asks students to finish the task in 2c—Complete the mind map and add more things to the “other”section. And check the answers. 3. Lead ss to listen again and then role-play it. Students read the conversation, answer questions within the designated time. Grasp students' understanding of the textual conversation.　
Purpose Through different reading exercises, students can improve their ability to find information and consolidate the expressions of introducing each other.
Step IV Practice T asks students to finish 2e-- Peter is preparing for his friend's visit to his new home, but he needs help.In groups make up conversations between Peter and his family. Students observe tasks, under the guidance of teachers, discuss making up conversations between Peter and his family. Observe whether students can cooperate within the group, use language appropriately and correctly.
Purpose To apply what ss have learned, cultivate their ability to use language and cultural knowledge to solve practical problems in real situations, and promote transfer innovation.
Step V Summary The teacher leads students to summarize what they have learned. The teacher guides students to complete the assessment. Students recall the learned knowledge of today and complete the assessment form. To check if students can summarize the knowledge they learned.
Purpose Students can talk with each other with the expressions learned to learn more about each other.
Step VI Homework You must do: Retell the conversation in 2a. If you can: Interview family members on how to welcome guests. Homework can help students strengthen the knowledge which they have learned.
Purpose Let students in different level to build up their confidence and expand language output and help students strengthen the knowledge they have learned.
