Today was our first day to visit Moscow. The weather was fine and everyone felt excited to visit some famous places in Russia.
In the morning, we went to the Victory Museum. The Russian people built this museum to remember their fight against the Nazis during World War II. As we walked through the halls, the tour guide told us stories about the war.
In one hall, I saw an artwork with thousands of glass “tears” falling down. It reminds us that war is terrible and peace does not come easily. We should not forget that.
At noon, we had lunch at a restaurant near the park. I liked the ice cream there, so I ate a lot of it. But, during dinner, I didn’t feel like eating because I felt sick. So now, I just want to get a good night’s sleep.

It rained last night, so this morning the air was fresh and cool. I felt much better today.
We took the Moscow Metro to travel around. The metro stations are really beautiful. Sometimes I felt like I was walking inside a palace. After that, we went to Red Square. We saw some fantastic buildings there.
In the afternoon, we arrived at a school and met a group of Russian students. We played games and soon became friends. Later, someone took out his accordion, and soon everyone got together to sing and dance. We were so happy that we didn’t notice the time. It was such a good experience!

fight可作名词，意为“战斗; 搏斗; 斗争 ”。
There are no winners in a fight. 打斗中没有赢家。
Language points
fight还可作动词，意为“打仗;打架”，过去式是fought。

thousand 是数词,意为“一千”,当表示确切的数目时，thousand 前面有具体数词,其后不加-s,且不和 of连用;若表示一个不确切的数目，thousand 前面没有具体数词,其后要加-s,且与of连用,构成 thousands of短语，意为“数以千计的;成千上万的”。

确切数目两无(无s,无of);
模糊数目两有(有s,有of)。
3. It reminds us that war is terrible and peace does not come easily. 它提醒我们,战争是可怕的,和平来之不易。
remind是及物动词，意为“提醒;使想起”。
·remind sb+that 从句提醒某人……
·remind sb to do sth 提醒某人做某事
·remind sb of sth/sb 使某人想起某物/某人
I remind him that he must go home now. 我提醒他必须现在回家。
Mum often reminds me to study hard. 妈妈经常提醒我要努力学习。
These photos remind me of my childhood. 这些照片使我想起了我的童年。
4. We should not forget that. 我们不应该忘记这一点。
forget 〔动词〕忘记;遗忘 反义词是remember(记住)。
（1）forget 作及物动词时,后可跟名词、代词、动词不定式或动词 -ing 形式作宾语。
·forget to do sth 忘记去做某事（某事未做）
·forget doing sth 忘记做过某事（某事已做）
I forgot to close the window. 我忘了关窗户。（窗户没关）
I forgot closing the window. 我忘了关过窗户了。（窗户已关）
（2）作不及物动词时,常用短语:forget about“忘记;忘掉”。
I forgot about the homework and didn’t do it. 我忘了作业，结果没做。
5. We were so happy that we didn't notice the time.
我们如此高兴以至于没有注意到时间。
so...that.. 意为“如此……以至于……”，so 为副词,后面接形容词或副词；that 为连词,引导结果状语从句。
（1）如果 that 从句为肯定句,可以用“形容词/副词+enough+to do sth”替换成简单句。
·He ran so fast that he caught the bus.
= He ran fast enough to catch the bus.
他跑得如此快，以至于赶上了公交车。
（2）如果 that 从句为否定句,可以用“too+形容词/副词+to do sth”或“not +形容词/副词+ enough + to do sth” 替换成简单句。
·He is so young that he can't drive a car.
= He is too young to drive a car.
= He is not old enough to drive a car.
他年龄不够大，不能开车。
