Part 2:Grammar I Let’s read the sentences and find out the rules of sentence patterns. Read the sentences and circle the verbs. Read the grammar focus part and write am, is, are next to the personal pronouns. After that, let’s check the answers. Guide them to sum up the rules about am/is/are in an easy way. Guide them tell the personal pronouns by games. Read the sentences in the grammar box and circle the verbs. Then check the answers Write am, is, are next to the personal pronouns. Then say their answers. Work in groups and try to sum up the rules.
Part 3:Practice Make sure Ss can understand the instruction and sentences in 3b. Guide them to find out the subject first. Design more exercises to let Ss consolidate the matching relationship between be verbs and personal pronouns. Let’s read the passage and complete the passage with am, is or are.
