1. 动词不定式 (to do) 作目的状语
动词不定式放在句首或句末,用来说明动作的目的,意为“为了...”。
To improve your English, you can watch English movies online. (为了提高英语,你可以...)
I use my laptop to do my homework and watch videos. (我用我的笔记本电脑来做作业和看视频。)
In order to protect your eyes, you should take a break every hour. (in order to 更正式)
2. 条件状语从句 (Conditional Sentences) - Type 1
真实条件句,表示假设的情况很可能发生。
结构:If + 一般现在时, 主语 + shall/will/can/may/must + 动词原形 (主句)
If you don't have a password, anyone can use your account.
If you spend too much time online, it will be bad for your health.
Unless you protect your privacy (unless = if not), your personal information may be stolen.
注意:在if引导的条件状语从句中,用一般现在时表示将来,主句用一般将来时。
3. 情态动词 (Modal Verbs) 表示建议、义务和必要性
本单元重点运用情态动词来讨论数字生活的规则和建议。
should / ought to (应该):表示建议或义务。
